i'd love to see a riverdance/lord of the dance inspired program, i have no idea if it would actually work as a figure-skating soundtrack but i have loved warriors - and victory - since i was little.. but this is probably me just wanting to melt the two things i love into one.. i know Satoka Miyahara done firedance from riverdance a few seasons ago,

Hi everyone, I'm still catching up on all these pages!!! I'm looking forward to hearing these music recs but I'm still way off

Quick question - I'm also catching up on The Edge (though not intending to post there...ever lol) does anyone know when Yuzuru said he can only skate 'properly' for around one minute? It's been mentioned in two separate threads that he said this and I'm curious to read it. 'Properly' relating to deep edges, skating skills in general I suppose. Thank you if anyone can help with this!

I haven't heard that at all :scratch2: You are sure it isn't some really old interview? Or perhaps it is something related to when he was injured? Cause honestly it sounds really strange to me, and I think I've been fairly good at keeping up with news about hime (here and from Yuzuru-tumblrs)

I think it may be related to what he has said about Patrick's skating in the past; that the way he uses his edges and moves with power is a style of skating that Yuzu could do, but only for a few minutes. Basically, he's saying Patrick's skating skills are awesome and unparalleled even by himself, who isn't any slouch at it. At least that's maybe what the context for that is?

I forgot the exact source, nor do I remember when it was exactly. But it's not "skating properly", it's "skating like Patrick does". Yuzuru mentioned that to skate like Patrick does takes a lot of stamina, that he could do it Patrick's way for a minute or so, but would probably run out of steam afterwards.

I think this is from a video right before Worlds 2016 where Yuzu sort of runs down what other competitors' strengths are. I'd have to dig it up but they also ask him about Javi, Shoma, and others I think.
 
Yuzu with glasses is adorable but I kind of wish his frames were a bit longer vertically. His glasses that he has are kind of like mine lol but I refuse to wear mine most of the time because I think the shape is too rectangular, kinda like his
 
He is the perfect straight A student with his glasses on, isn't he? :laugh:

He rarely wears glasses though, I wonder if he doesn't need them that often or he sometimes wears contact lenses instead?
 
Personally, I love Hope & Legacy, both the music and the program...it's the kind of understated elegance that only few people can manage, but I understand that they're probably going for something more powerful next season. Love many of your suggestion...btw, it's just me or a couple of years ago Brian and others mentioned Carmina Burana as LP option (before Seimei was actually preferred)?
Now, I'd rather Yuzuru not choose something SO warhorse... but if warhorse must be, well I would totally picture a fiery, fire-driven Yuzu skating to it.
 
He probably wears glasses more often in private (assuming he needs to wear them often), or on long flights when contacts are annoying etc.. and contacts for most occasions when there is a chance of being in public for events or functions. He certainly cannot wear glasses while skating!

I don't think he would wear them at airports if he was long-sighted, maybe he just doesn't want to be recognized.:laugh: Idk. If he was both short-and long sighted then he would wear glasses or lenses all the time. But on the close-up pictures you can see that he doesn't wear contact lenses. So I don't know. :scratch2:
