I'm not even a major audiophile myself but even I can tell the diff when it comes to quality. I need a certain level of bass.

I highly doubt we'd ever see him with a pair of Beats. I find them completely overrated for the price and the subpar sound quality. I'd just buy a new colorful headband to wear all day if I want something bright to stand out. My Bose headphones cost about the same and sound much better. Heck, my $6 Panasonic earbuds sound better .
I get it from my dad who is even more extreme than I am, lol. Yuzu is beyond Beats, I am sure of it. I think Yuzu said he uses different headphones for different songs or something, or maybe that was music player devices? But if he's listening to MP3s its compressed anyway, so I don't know if he's really getting the most out of it even though he thinks he is, lol.
Agreed, although i come from a family of audiophiles (my grandpa and my uncle have always had state-of-the-art speakers, turntables, cassette players, cd players... You name it ) so i absorbed some of it. I definitely need a certain level of bass and a music player that has an equalizer is a must for me. I bought these not so long ago and i recommend them because they are very good for the price :D (I bought them in purple before we knew of the costume hahaha)
If i see Yuzuru using beats i will never ever believe him when he talks about sound quality
And if sound quality matters a bit for him, i think he must be listening to FLAC instead of MP3, mainly because is the lossless format that i've seen supported across many platforms (and it's the one i use with the music i've physically bought lol)

Best reaction to TSL is... ignore them. That kind of commenters don't deserve any attention they're craving for.

Sorry I should have read this advice before watching the video and putting my comments in the other thread...
I didn't know them before (well, I had heard about them but never watched their vids), but it took me approximately 30 seconds to hate them

I just got a new stereo installed in my car (it's an '07 G35 that comes with a Bose sound system), and before the standard factory stuff was nice enough, but with my new stereo I have an equalizer and I love it. The only thing is I don't have a multiple CD changer and I prefer CD quality for obvious reasons. Those headphones look nice! I have these for when I'm on the go.

TBH, I could not believe my ears when listening to TSL, and doubted my listening ability in English. As far as reading your posts, it seems I caught what they said right. Oh, well, I don't want to call them, ah, armatures, but.....

I saw 4CC on J-Sport 4 the other day, and the commentator, Hideo Sugita, former ISU referee, was apparently disappointed with Yuzuru's score, saying Yuzuru should have evaluated much higher in PCS, because he was doing so much difficult things before and after jumps.

Noriko Shirota commented the same in Yomiuri Shimbun on Feb. 28th. She said it (not so much difference in PCS from Nathen) might be because of the music/theme Yuzuru has chosen this time, but he challenged the tougher way, not choosing classic or movie themes with dramatic tunes, in order to improve himself more.

True to Yuzu's spirit, we're talking headphones  I think i investigated for months before buying my headphones, before that i was using the ones that came with my an old cellphone that had a nice fit and decent bass. The ones i'm using now completely isolate any outside noise, when i put them i heard instruments i didn't hear before and they're really comfortable :D I wasn't willing to spend Yuzu-levels of money on headphones but i wanted something nicer than what i had :P It was a really big difference :D

I've been using those panasonic ones for years now! first it was just for practical reasons, not only are they suprisingly cheap and they wouldn't break within 3 months like all my prior headphones would (I am careless with my belongings lol), but they also sounded surprisingly good. tho I'm no expert so it's good to hear you recommend them

A bit unpopular opinion here. Looking at the scores given, his PCS is not affected much with his program choice?

FS, Last season he got : AC 92 SC 88 NHK 97 GPF 98.5 World 92
FS, This season he got : AC 86 SC 88 NHK 92 GPF 92 4CC 94

Aside of autumn classic this year (which is quite a mess), his PCS is not much different from the amount he would be getting during Seimei when not clean (with a fall). I don't think I would expect him to get the same PCS as he did with NHK and GPF '15 when he was technically not delivering his planned layout there at 4cc.

I have a cat that likes to chew things (I've already had to replace some cords) and the thought of buying Yuzu level headphones vulnerable to his teeth terrifies me :ohwell:. At least with my Bose you can replace the cord without having a buy a whole new pair. But when these current pair wear out (or my cat chews them) I've bookmarked yours. Mine also does a good job with isolating noise and they feel comfortable. Sometimes when I'm riding on the train I'll put them in my ear even if I don't feel like listening to music if only to drown out the conversation around me while I'm reading for school or studying kanji or something.

They really are good stuff! :agree: And usually I don't mind replacing them if my cat gets to them because I can always try another color.

I am not going to lie, i would REALLY like to try Yuzu-level headphones. When i found out he had different headphones for different "moods" or types of music i thought "Wow, that's brilliant, i wish i had the money to do the same "
My headphones allow me to completely submerge in my own little world  (Hope&Legacy sounds heavenly with them!) and since i bought them i no longer can identify with the whole "How do headphones tangle so much" thing, because they came with a case that made my life easier
Still he would judge me, i know he would silently judge me about the quality of my headphones

Hell be blown, I didn't make it into 4CC Men thread before it was closed - I could repeat my demand for a review of men's transitions from those who were claiming Yulia disregarded something. OK. So Yuzuru's got no transitions...

That thread..........

If it helps you, you would not have gotten a good answer back I guess. Someone is happy enough they found the transition categories

The hilarious part is, Yulia's analysis was posted just to prove that TSL was wrong about Yuzuru's TR... :laugh2: and yet some people believe it was to attack them... I am still laughing.

I absolutely adore the meltdowns over that post, it repeats every time.

But I do get why people don't like math. Reality hurts.

I could not agree more. Do not go there and give them clicks. Dave uses Yuzu to drive traffic to his YouTube channel and then trashes him. And from what I'm reading here it sounds like he's getting worse.

That Dave is still seen by anyone as a credible FS commentator is a testament to how little coverage there is of the sport, especially in the US.
