I learned that 成功の遺伝史 is a combined word of 遺伝 iden (inheritance) and 歴史 rekishi (history), and maybe using the sound of Idenshi (genes) for the word.

No.1 Yuzuru Hanyu

No.3 Atsuto Uchida (he is married :laugh:)
 
Can anyone help me? I remember watching a Japanese game show back around 2012ish when Yuzuru was a question. He was still kinda unknown and the task was to read his name. Since Yuzuru's kanji has a difficult or unusual reading, people had a hard time pronouncing it. Can anyone recall the program?
 
This is really random. But I was just listening to the Yuri On Ice soundtrack, the piano piece, and it's so beautiful and I could totally see Yuzuru skating to it idk why. But I thought it was a great idea. If only he watches Yuri On Ice 😂

My vague memory: It may be a quiz show "Quiz Time Shock", and a female contender (I can recall her face but not name :confused:) couldn't read his name. Sorry, if this was not.

I remember it was the same year that Yuzuru's calendar for 2013 was the second in the sales in the male celebrities/sportsmen category after Atsuto Uchida, and TV news needed explanation about him :laugh:

Yeah I've felt that way about Final Fantasy for years for different skaters, Yuzu included. I can imagine routines to some of the tracks in my mind. Heck I have one in mind for FFXV (the newest one) that I picture Shoma skating to for instance.

This. I actually go to competition threads often. But I'll be honest, I kind of avoid those where Yuzuru is competing. Just want to avoid salt and some BS from some posters :biggrin:
But honestly, many posters on edge or competition thread is quite informative and knowledgeable. There is one thing that is very consistent about competition thread though, there will always be argument about score and/or placement. But I love the amount of cheering and anxiety pre-competition there. :laugh:

Hello. Another lurker finally created an account hahaXD I wanna join the club too Guess I'll have to wait quite a while ^^; btw anyone have something like a list of Yuzu tv appearances (or any sort of entertainment appearances)? Cos I've been watching the same few videos repeatedly for a really long time haha and I keep seeing small bits of him (in gifs or short vids), but I never know where they come from.
On the side note, I'm really in love H&L. XD
