Colors used in shinto? Could you explain this a bit? (Shinto is really fascinating to me, tbh!)

I added the link of longer version above.

In reading this before, I liked the illustration and its subtle colors used in it. And when I first saw Yuzuru's FS costume and heard his and Shae-Lynn's explanation about the program, I just remembered this material. But I could not remember the title or clue to find it for a while :palmf: And, finally I could find it today :hap93: The image is so linked as I thought it should be. Wind, sea, and other beautiful nature things :coffee:

If one of the threads you read where you expected much worse is the 2012-13 Japanese nationals competition thread - I just read through that last weekend a bit, and a lot of the old comments are gone. As in, back then the moderators had to interfere several times because the discussion got so nasty, and erased a lot of them. I'd think it was easily one of the most ridiculous threads GS had in the over 5 years I'm here (probably on the same level as the worst Yuna - Mao discussions), but now it does look pretty chill.

As for non-GS related stuff, I remember for example seeing several Daisuke fans in the arena who wouldn't clap for Yuzu at all (and they were pretty obviously Daisuke fans, waving his banners). I don't remember when that was though - but I had a discussion about that with a GS poster here back then. And then there is the blood donation BS from this years nationals... I'm not saying it's all Dai fans though, a lot of them also like and respect Yuzu (I'm also a big fan of both) And the good news is that Yuzu has so many more fans than people who don't like him, we can call them an unimportant minority

I just read in those archives that someone said that it was clear that JSF didn't believe in Yuzu after Sochi :laugh2:

Yeeeaaahhhhh.... that poster is banned for a reason by now  she also liked to come to this FF and call him a 'stripper boy' and other stuff like that. And of course there were loooooong rants about how Brian Orser doesn't care about him, and just wants to use him for his own ends :rolleye:

I don't miss her

On the other hand please take this away from me, i'm reading CoC archives and my heart hurts </3

COC, the PCS discussion that keeps on giving 3 years after.

Sorry, had to be a bit blase since I haven't actually watched that FS and don't really feel like I want to.

Reading competition archives and even back a few years in this thread has been an interesting experience...

I have to admit, i am still worried about that crash... Maybe because i'm a very anxious person but i really hope there was no long term damage to our baby alien...

Ah, yes, I was thinking about the threads of japan nationals 2012, 2013 and worlds 2012... I'm sad to read that the backlash I expected to find but that thankfully wasn't there... indeed existed at one point :(
But since then the number of his fans has been increasing day by day, and that's a very good thing. Yay \o/

I loved reading those old threads... made me feel a bit sad that I discovered Yuzuru only recently, I wish I could have witnessed all the steps he's climbed from the very beginning :)

And btw I'm a big fan of Dai too. Really unique skater. Love him.

lmao poor quality, but guess who was distracted in Chinese class?

Shamelessly in love with the seimei hydro one <3
That reminds me of the time i was watching... Ugh, i don't remember, i guess it was skate canada... I was sketching Yuzu too  i've sketched him a lot, but i only have this on a post it in my monitor. (Ok, i still have the Yuzu calendar with the mini Pooh tsum tsum, but i am referring to a mini Yuzu drawing  )

You get 100 points

It's not as if Yuzu wasn't quite popular already back then. He was. He just also happened to ignite very strong reactions from some idiotic people and he still does

I understand that, that's sometimes what I think too, which is why by now I've started to watch Juniors a lot more. Although that also means more heartbreak ^^"

Aw that's so cute!
Haha, there's just something about Yuzuru that makes him very drawable. I haven't been inspired for a long time to do any serious works bc I've been busy, but I'm finding time to work on a portrait of Yuzuru bc I can't help it. :hopelessness:

He is! Is like his lines are so perfect that i can't help but to feel like i need to draw him... I've wanted to do one too, for practice, since i don't really do realism... But for him, i think i would do anything
Your sketches are very good! I hope you can share the portrait here when you finish it :D

You know it sorta got me intrigued because I saw the same username here, in FSuniverse and in some Russian-language forums... all around the same time. And I've a feeling she continues to pour her bile somewhere out there - under a different name, but in essence still continuing to write the same... :) It's just a Sherlock waking up in me!
But yeah, she isn't missed here!
