Why does everyone seem to speak German suddenly?
I just want to fill in the gaps. All in all I couldn't detect any major mistranslations- I would just be nitpicking
1) "Und der Druck ist natürlich riesig..." - "And the pressure, of course, is great..."
2) "... 'Good job, guter Job, das hast du prima gemacht'- die Worte von Brian Orser..." - "...'Good job, good job, you did great'- Brian Orser's words..."

Hello! I was lurking in this thread for a long time, decided to post because I think I know the answer (and because I'm cheerleading you all to get those 4000 peges and Yuzu's face as avatar) There is 13 countries on the list. 9 will be drawn for short, the rest will automatically get to judge the free. 5 judges for free will be drawn form judges that will judge the short (so 5 judges will be on the panel for both programs). If I remember right, 8/13 judges for men (or something about that) will be from Europe. Hope you will understand my english (not my mother language)

I found this via the black hole that is tumblr. I think it's an interview from one of the magazines he's been featured in recently but can't be sure as the original Japanese text doesn't say where it's from.

From the linked post, I would like to highlight this picture. I have no ambitions of joining the Yuzu Face Ava Club as I am way too lazy lol but I think this picture should be under consideration.

Yeah he will definitely forever be a remembered name in figure skating history. The crazy thing is that he still could do more in this sport. His hunger for more is one of the reasons I became a fan(and somehow started watching more mens figure skating than ladies), he hasn't slowed down one bit since winning the olympics and it's been quite a crazy ride for him.

This was from when he was a junior. The first paragraph shown in the picture says, roughly, "Hanyu who is climbing his way to the top of junior. But in his line of sight, is neither Junior World Champion, nor the Olympic Gold Medal." The original tweet was reminiscing, it's a paragraph from the first figure skating magazine she ever bought ^.^
But his hunger, yes. It's amazing how he kept going and going and going.

I believe he will, in less than 2 years. Either at Olympics (if he want to YOLO it), or after it. Idk, but I don't see him feeling satisfied with his career if he doesn't land it first. This means so much for him.
I just wish there will be no youngster who think big of himself due to his good TES and land it before Yuzuru just because he can :noshake:
(I'm not implying to certain skater, but seeing what's happening now, there are chances this will happen)

Do you know what makes the Axel the most difficult technique of all jumps? Other quads can rely on fast rotation and power, frankly. But the Axel is another issue. Most of the current skaters skid very long into their Axel and some relies on fast rotation, not true Axel technique. If I have to use Trump's words, it would be like: "Those are fake Axel, not even a true Axel."

Edge jumps in general rely less on power and more on blade control, right? What do you see as true good technique specific to axels?
Vaguely I remember someone saying that Patrick's improved/stabilized his 3A by going into it with more speed. :think:

I haven't understood the whole fs technical aspects so I can't comment on that, but is it possible for someone that is good at Axel to skip other quads and just focus on 4A?
I'm aware about their long preparation into Axel too. Quad craze makes them forget 3A, so maybe the possibility for us to have another skater obsessed with Axel beside Yuzu will lessen?
