Ah that 3A! How could I forget that? :drama:
At first watch, I was like, "What kind of choreography is that?" then after I read comment I realized he just saved his jump lol

It was a bad 3A day . He failed it also during gala practice. But this save was spectacular, I agree, very Yuzu-like.

Now I wonder why he jumped 3T at 4CC EX?

I guess he must have been pretty tired given that he'd had a morning practice+FS+gala practice before that. I'd have been knackered.

He had competed a few hours before, he was tired, so he chose the less tiring jump, I guess ?

Edit : ha, same as Fayruza

somehow, all Nathan's quads landing are bother me alot, I don't know why..

For me it is how his free leg unwraps as he lands. It kind of sticks out really straight. Nothing he can do about it, does not matter, but I notice it compared to other guys.

His landings can be a bit untidy but he'll refine them in time (though maybe it should be reflected a bit more in his scores...)

I tend to notice awkward air positions more. Yuzu's jumps look really tight and clean with his legs well positioned close together which makes the jump look nice. Some younger skates look looser in their rotations like the legs aren't brought together correctly and it alwats bugs me, since that kind of looseness is usually how I can tell Yuzu popped a jump :laugh2:

yeahh, it's almost no ice coverage
make the jump less appealing

I can relate tho, we all used to be spoiled by the #1 skater in the World :laugh2:

This is something I noticed as well. Nathan is doing almost all of his skating on straight legs. At skating lessons the first thing I was taught was to bend my knees properly as it is one of the most important things in skating. So yes, it seems a little bit strange compared to others.

This is a pretty chill time to de-lurk myself and join in,

Nice to meet you guys! (although I've been following this thread for like, 5 months)

Also, if I sometimes post gibberish, pls don't mind me. I just get nervous really easily :) :) :)

How did you manage to not jump into the conversation ? I HAD to talk about Yuzu with people as crazy as me
Welcome and it might be a bit harder but maybe you can join the YFAC before world's too? :)

I was lurking for a few months before I made an account here and then some more before I posted in a 4CC thread for the first time. Now I'm at 700+ posts... But I do post outside of the fanfest so it brings the post count up.
