What, you all want me to cry a river at my office? :sad4:

Btw, what is the context behind Yuzuru crying and someone wiping his tears? Who's that? :scratch2:

Ghislain Briand. Just a little over four years ago, Yuzu was 9th in SP at 2013 Worlds. He had caught the flu soon after 4CC, only restarted training about 10 days before Worlds, and in trying to catch up ended up overtraining so both his right foot and left knee were injured. Media caught him crying after SP, Briand wiping off his tears. He ended up rolling up to a 3rd in FS, for 4th place finish in the end, successfully saving three spots for TJ.

Btw, does Satton withdrawal affect the three spots Yuzu has to fight for too? Or it's separated between Men's and Ladies'?
Because if it's the same, I imagine he'll push himself more .-.

It's separate. If all of the disciplines mattered together...that'd be a big uphill battle to climb considering how non-existent their pairs and dance are. I guess that catches up with them at the olympics with the team competition but not singles.

Completely separate :o I'm very glad she withdrew instead of pushing herself for the team and risking her health/career though.

Fyuuh, I'm relieved then.

Yeah, I'm also very glad to hear they put stop to it and let her rest and heal properly.
And I'm so happy Yuzu seems all fine now. Nothing can make me happier than all of them being fine :)

Haha well if that were the case, JSF would probably have encouraged more development in pairs and dance. Pairs didn't used to be so bad. Takahashi/Tran was World Bronze medalist, but Tran never managed to get citizenship so now he competes for US.

Yeah I am very sad about her withdrawal. I didn't have tickets to the ladies but I was going to buy them on site mainly to see her and Caro. There's still Caro but she's about all I'm really looking forward to, and maybe that French girl, Laurine?

And also Kavaguti who competes for Russia. Imagine if the Shib Sibs skated for Japan. They'd definitely be front runners for team gold.

It is not David Wilson but a jump coach at the Cricket. (fail to identify the correct spelling of his name :scratch2:)
He visited Korea with Cha JH as his coach last year. I hope he gets more recognition.

Grishlain Briand

They don't even have that many pairs/ID couple to begin with. Just look at the amount of competitors for ID or pairs during Nationals. But I would expect we would see more. The ladies and men's field in Japan has gotten pretty saturated, I would think some of the ladies and men who can land all triples but don't shine much on singles would switch to pairs/ID. The thing is they don't really have strong pairs/ID coach, so they have to send them abroad. So it takes quite a commitment.

In one week we will have plenty of new images of Yuzuru.
Interviews of Yuzuru. Yuzuru at the airport. Yuzuru at the rink. Yuzuru in ua outfit for us to gush on.
If he's smiling and cheerful we'll get worried he isn't focused enough.
If he's serious we'll get worried something might be wrong.
If he lands the jumps we'll be worried it'll jinx his programs.
If he doesn't we'll be worried he doesn't either in his programs.

In any case it's going to be INTENSE. And glorious. Like him <3

Can't wait !

I am not a worrywart normally. so as long as he doesn't look too tired, I will be happy! :)

But hope he will own 4S3T in practices so that he would overcome that mental block. it affected him so much in 4CC.

ohh... i am 24 posts away from YFAC. I've already been browsing through my photos for Avatar. It's hard to choose, he always looks pretty and perfect.

I wonder if I can join you guys with the face avatar before Worlds.
Maybe in the middle of it? Since we will gush about everything about him a lot
I love how ninja he is right now. We know where are Javi and Shoma, but him? How is he? Nope.

This thread passes so fast... I've already read 50 pages, but I have to read more 80 pages to catch up here :drama:
I don't know whether I can reach the newest before WC :palmf:

Actually, I prefer the ninja mode. Which means he's fully focusing and not busy doing stuff (hopefully).

I am trying my best to post about any thought of mine on the thread in order to join YFAC. WE CAN DO IT! :yes2:

We will be worried no matter what, I am sure .
Of course anything can happen but I have a good feeling about this WC.
