Just in case if anyone hasn't posted:

Here is the fancam I took for the past two days OP. Only part of the sessions, as I was trying to watch him, record him, cheer for him and repo to my friends on mobile chat group all at the same time:palmf:

I didn't try to record the full run through as I know many ppl can do a better job than me! And half-way through the H&L run through, I put down my phone and camera, and just prayed and clapped for him!!

Some thoughts:
He was very easy to spot among the other skaters as he is so slim and his lines!!:love:

He spent quite a bit of time at the left downside corner to try his 4lp and 4s-3t combo. I'm now very attempted to sit there to watch his next Op:scratch2: It's very hard to get a good seat behind the judges section to watch him talking to Brian and Tracy!

Kikuchi-san was also recording him during the run through. And I really appreciate Tracy for her presence there! She is so kind and the way she looks at Yuzu is just:luv17:

I haven't recovered after the 22 hours transit from Australia.. And I went to the first day's OP straight after I dropped my luggage. And I have to do work on my computer mid-of the night:( But everything is worth it! I just hope I can see more of Yuzu! The OP was just way too short:devil:

I was so calm and positive the last two days, but my level of anxiety is rising now... :noshake:

I can't imagine how stressful these competition must be for skaters.
 
I need to see a clip of Yuzu's 4A. :angry2: Enough with all the teases from Max/Miki haha. At least give more details about it (success rate etc).

Hopefully we will see an IB + 4A one day. :love:
 
iirc yesterday there was a livestream for ladies SP draw, but I didn't find it. Who was livestreaming it? I have to find it before 15.30 :biggrin:


I am listening now to Tatiana Tarasova commentary of ladies SP. She said that practice rink (The Cave) has very low ceiling and the girls have problems when jumping high. Maybe it explains a lot about yesterday SP RT failed jumps.

I can't wait to see them! Even if it won't be for a while since his internal quality control before adding a jump to programs must be spread eagle sandwich or something crazy.

I know Max is a fanboy uncle but he seems to understand Yuzu very well. He gets his mentality. As unbelievable as it was, he knew in 4CC that Yuzu's backup plan 1 was 2s-1lo-4s after watching practices. I don't think he tweets those things just to get attention or to fanboy.

Honestly, I doubt there is a 'success rate'. There was no time for him to actually prepare for the Worlds and train something like that.

And IB+4A is highly doubtful too. If he ever gets anything but a straight up 4A, it'll be amazing.
 
Argg. Good morning. I am awake earlier than I wanted, so I guess i will make lemonade out of lemons and go to work early so I can get home for the last flight in pairs.... love job flexibilty!!!

Anyway, well. Landed 4A, eh? Hope Brian records these things .... hope we see it someday. I would not care if he did laps around the ice before trying it... I just want to see it in comp someday... and if never in comp, maybe Brian could release video of it if no one else ever gets it done... it would be like real video of Big Foot...

Yes apparently pairs could not train in that rink because the ceiling was too low 0_o

Nevertheless he jumped 6 quads after RT :scratch3: Maybe the ceiling was slightly intitmidating only at the beginning of the practice.

ETA Too bad that the day of FS the practice is in the Cave. And then only 6 minutes warmup to readjust to the main rink :disapp:.

Well, he had adjusted at the end of the practice session, I would'nt be too worried... It's just a very unusual rink, it seems, get some time to get used to (except when you're called Medvedeva or Chen, it seems :laugh:)
