NOT Mishin, sorry.
I know he has said many contradicting stuff about him, he used to at least

Speaking of livestream I'm still mad that there's no livestream from ISU :angry1: The one I used for the ladies SP (I think it was Match arena) was not as smooth as the ISU stream. Were there any YouTube livestream earlier from the ladies SP that is not geoblocked? I might just end up not watching the men's sp tomorrow if I don't get a good link :scowl:

Anyways, I think this will be the link for the live practice tomorrow for the the Men's SP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsr7XQAjBEU. There's also a 360 video, but I'm not sure about the quality because the ladies' 360 practice was kind of meehh.

The CBC Sports account on YouTube streamed the whole ladies SP and it wasn't geoblocked, at least not for me and I'm not in Canada. It had great quality and no commentary

That's why I love CBC so much, high quality, stable, and full coverage. I'd rather listen to all commentaries after the comp:dance:

March 28th, Worlds - OP Day 2

I made a gif of Yuzuru's frustrating 3A out of nowhere from Pamigena's video https://twitter.com/Pamigena/status/846648118317867008

:luv17:

Just in case if anyone hasn't posted:

Here is the fancam I took for the past two days OP. Only part of the sessions, as I was trying to watch him, record him, cheer for him and repo to my friends on mobile chat group all at the same time:palmf:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DPNb6YobGs

I didn't try to record the full run through as I know many ppl can do a better job than me! And half-way through the H&L run through, I put down my phone and camera, and just prayed and clapped for him!!

And some of the photos I've taken:

Some thoughts:
He was very easy to spot among the other skaters as he is so slim and his lines!!

He spent quite a bit of time at the left downside corner to try his 4lp and 4s-3t combo. I'm now very attempted to sit there to watch his next Op:scratch2: It's very hard to get a good seat behind the judges section to watch him talking to Brian and Tracy!

Kikuchi-san was also recording him during the run through. And I really appreciate Tracy for her presence there! She is so kind and the way she looks at Yuzu is just:luv17:

I haven't recovered after the 22 hours transit from Australia.. And I went to the first day's OP straight after I dropped my luggage. And I have to do work on my computer mid-of the night:( But everything is worth it! I just hope I can see more of Yuzu! The OP was just way too short.

runrun drew the scene where Tracy had her hand over Yuzu's :)

A message from ANA "Please cheer for Yuzuru Hanyu":https://twitter.com/ANA_travel_info/status/847025541794484224 :-)

Fuji coverage of ladies short program is now about to begin.
Let's see they have any information of Yuzu.

Other ---

LOL

Miki Ando on Fuji TV show talking about Yuzu vs Chen (supposedly vs Javi as well, but they're not getting to that part yet or won't)
- (random, asked about Yuzu normally) cheerful, but doesn't really hang out, probably because he's always very focused. when he is asked out for meals, often refused ^_^|||
- She said she's seen Yuzu do 4A (presumably at cricket then?)
(I don't think she's seen Yuzu's 4CC because she pointed out there must have been some mistake in his performance, based on Yuzu's 4CC score)
- N has higher TES, but Yuzu has higher PCS because better quality <-- though I disagree with the higher TES point. If based on both clean scenario, Yuzu will probably have higher TES based on GOE.
- All the guests on the show oohing aahing over Yuzu's comment about being "glad that he was born in this era" (from post 4CC conference? or interview. i forgot). one of them: he's like a Shounen Jump protagonist, kakkoiii naaaa~~~

(nothing particularly interesting in the javi-yuzu part)

----------

oh one part that I forgot earlier ^_^||

- she said the rink this time is probably a really good fit for his light jumps. He cuts a very slender figure, so his weight and his muscle strength are different from other skaters. A rink with harder ice might give him too much bounce, helsinki rink is soft in comparison.

----------------
Okay, time for bed :bed: so i wake up in time for mens practice / ladies sp. good night, my dears!

And three cheers for Nobu ^_^ (has it been posted? sorry. still not caught up from ytd)

At Nikkei Talk Live a couple days ago,
Hara-san (I guess a guest/the host): There's talk that (on weibo it's "he"/ here it's "there" or otherwise undefined) is too focused on jumps...
Oda: Hanyu and other top skaters have great skating skills, wonderful transitions and movements before and after jumps, he's definitely not overly focused on jumps. Although quads are great, I hope people can also focus on before and after the jumps and transitions."

I was able to watch CBC sports until Isadora Williams (in Japan.) Probably Fuji bought the right after that. So where there is no right holder you can watch CBC’s stream until the end of the event??

It was working for me only until Loena Hendrickx I think then it went offline. Hoping it will not be geoblocked tomorrow.

March 29th, Worlds - SP Order Draw

Fuji TV is going to broadcast live men's SP 滑走順抽選 now.
Somebody help! How can I say in English? SP skating order lottery?

edit: Haha, now I found it. draw, that's the word.

yuzu number 31!?!? he just drew right now lol

Shoot me, he drew 31

Oh ok, that's #1 in the group! Ok not ideal but it's not the dreaded #2.

It's Yuzu-Shoma-Kovtun-Javi-Pchan-Jason

japan's men fs team pic from draws

Lol Yuzu doesn't look happy

I'm sure he'll be fine though it gives him less time to get in his head and he'll be fresh from the warm up so hopefully it's all good

Yusu spoke Russian to Kovtun. LOL

Lyuba? She's at TCC. Maybe Zhenya...

Yuzu: How are you?
Maxim: Very well, how are you?
Yuzu: I'm fine, thanks!

This happened around 15:34 of this vid https://twitter.com/helsinki_2017/status/847062736597082112.

I think Maxim and Yuzu shook hands and started speaking Russian.

The problem is when I play the audio it has no sound already :disapp:

ETA: The Maxim and Yuzu only part with sound : https://twitter.com/dara_z/status/847088329124405249

Worlds - Others

News clips say his quads were looking better today.
The gist of it is that the success rate is higher on his quads today, that he landed a good 4s-3t at the beginning of the 40 minutes, and that the Toe, loop and Salchow quads had stability.

Speaking of livestream I'm still mad that there's no livestream from ISU :angry1: The one I used for the ladies SP (I think it was Match arena) was not as smooth as the ISU stream. I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but tadakiXD on tumblr has kindly translated an interview with Yuzu that came out yesterday. Some highlights as per his/her translation:

Wrt technicalities

"Making the jumps difficult, and on top of that achieving a high quality in each and every jump, step, spin and in my skating skills… I think that’s my (own style of) skating."

"Mmm…Thoughts like “what should I drop” don’t exist for me. I feel like I want to raise (the level of) anything and everything that I can."

The Pursuit of Perfection

"If I can achieve my ultimate (best) as of now, (it would be good)."

Interviewer: What’s beyond that, if you achieve your ultimate?

"I would just have to make it harder again right?*laughs*"

Onwards and upwards Yuzu! Even if you take your fans on such a crazy ride (and drive many to drink...)! Onwards and upwards!

Referencing 4A and 4Lz????:slink:

:otopic: but awesome timing

In the meantime, Zhenya talks about Yuzu again  this time to Korean newspaper
https://twitter.com/bluemist1120/status/847176593327960065

Literal translation from Japanese translation:
Respected skaters are Plushenko and Hanyu Yuzuru. They have the jumping prowess that, as a girl, it's hard for me to imitate. Especially, Hanyu from Japan, his competitions become a stimulant (for me to do better?).

Inspired me to draw this

I saw people spread the link on twitter, which is probably why it stopped working when CBC probably realized they hadn't geoblocked. It is unlikely to be available tomorrow, sadly.

DoesvYuzu being in the last group of SP mean that he'll be in the last group of the open practice tomoroow as well?
