OMG, those are some huge lights. They blinded me and I'm across the screen.
My friend is there and he says these huge lights are from... Fuji Tivi. :palmf: seriously are they allowed to turn such huge lights on during competition? Please say it's a NO.
I can't stand Fuji tivi more and more.

I just saw a fancam. When he ran towards the 3A, it's not normal flash. There were 2 huge leds (very very huge I mean) turned on and it's distracting. I think it was the leds by some television.
I don't know if it affected him or not. But right after he popped the 3A. They turned off the leds. :whack: I don't know which television was they, but hopefully they're not allowed to turn on such huge leds during competitions.

Edit here's the video https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610393525875114/permalink/1877229499191514/

that was intense. that's right in face when he turns around from back counter too.

Are they trying to intentionally sabotage their own skaters? Bad Fuji.

I don't think so. I think they were just unprofessional. And they use those huge lights to film something. My friend says. It's just ridiculous cause they should have record the videos in a different way. Put those lights in the dead corner of the rink where no skaters land their jumps.

Yuzuru Hanyu

Well I do heard some fans saying Fuji is never the most supportive TV station to Yuzu (compared to others like NHK) based on their comments and how they report on Yuzu (more like using his popularity for attention than to genuinely support him)

I wouldn't say deliberate. But they're definitely not being very thoughtful here. :/

Long time no see guys.. I've been here but kinda not been here as well if you get what I mean. Busy with work!

I wanna stream the SP even though I'm torn whether it'll jinx him or not like I did last time.. :noshake: luckily I think I'll interview someone during that time so.. doesn't mean I'm always a bad jinx though.

Just in case I can't come back to post, I wish Yuzu all the best. Hope he'll be calm and fight to his best!! It's in him, he just needs everything aligns properly for it to happen. Fingers crossed!! :cheer:

Yes, fuji tv was there with Takahashi and some repoters, the lights were too much, I think this is why they announced at the beginning of the practise of the last group that flash photos are not allowed.

Yeah, Fujitv is known for not being very kind with him. That crazy girlfriend rumour was reported extensively by them after some tabloid "discovered" it. Also, they often put a lot of Yuzu things but there's this very obvious feeling that it's all for viewership ratings. It prolly is the case if many people from different places get the same feeling.

Tv asahi is kinder, esp the morning asachan programme where Nobu is the host for the fs section, and the asachan team loves him. Kiritoru TV is also from tv asahi. NTV is not bad either, with Going! (and Ueda-san is appreciative of Yuzu and interviewed him post Sochi) Iirc Matsuoka's programme is also under NTV.

and they still kept it on? o.o||| I know it's not a sudden flash, but... those things are bright
Also Fuji has had broadcasting rights to figure skating for a LONG time. There is no reason they should make these mistakes.

IF takahashi is actually there, then it really makes no sense at all for Fuji to do so...

My friend just sent me photo of too much flash turning on during Yuzuru run through. It seems the announcement didn't have much effect. And then we had Fuji tivi's huge lights.

You know sometimes I feel athletes don't get the respect they deserve. As I often go to classical music concerts, if the artists demand you to not turn on the lights, you DO NOT turn on the lights. If the artists tell you to close the door cause it's windy, you CLOSE the door.

I hope the audience and the television will be more considerate during competition.

Some glimpses of Yuzu and Shoma at practice this morning. Disclaimer for your heart: includes a 1Lo but then a 4Lo with stepout.

Edit: Pamigena captured video of the 4Lo entrance stumble. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, just probably surprised him a lot. He caught his blade on the ice and fell backwards, but I thought it'd be a lot scarier than it was. These people know how to fall.
