So he lost big marks on the combo... ok, but at least he rotated and landed, rather than falling or totally popping. He is over that mental hurdle at least.

Disappointed for him considering this program had huge potential for scoring, and that he is way down by over 10 points... but, this is the time for him to reach down deep and skate clean. I hold worlds 2013 as a worst case scenario and he fought hard to climb up to get those spots for the Olympics despite his poor form... we know he is in good form here so if he can stop thinking and just 'do' he should be ok. I think boy thinks too much, honestly.

Good thing I'm going on vacation in a few days cause :palmf: ha ha.

The sun will always rise, tomorrow is another day :) He'll fight for it no doubt. Right now, he has nothing to lose so I say go for broke and throw it down.

I'm sure that he can still make it to the podium and maybe win. With the amount of quads to be in LPs nothing is sure. How many points has Yuzu over Javi last year? And Javi still manage to beat him. So, what if it goes the other way? Don't give up on Yuzu and Yuzu, belive in yourself!!! The hope is the last to die! Hang in there guys!!! :sad21: :drama:

Is this the first time since 2013 he doesn't small medal at Worlds?

So he has about 10 points to make up to Javi in the FS and 6 with Shoma. If Shoma goes clean, it'll be a lot harder to get over him in the FS. Nathan will of course be bringing the 6-quads, so we'll see there also. It's not insurmountable, though. Last year their positions were reversed. I still have hope!

But really, 4S, you suck.

Noooo, please don't say that, you're breaking my heart

I'm definitely more anxious about this than any of my exams...

i want to hate 4S now, but thinking this is not right. I'm sad tbh and speechless. Anger..want to blame someone, hit something...but nothing can change the result. I don't want to give up on Yuzu yet. This is not over. Hope this will fuel him more and catch up. Support Yuzu because he need it right now. Remember in 2012, he was 7th in SP and then got miracle in FP to win bronze. In 2014, he was 7 points behind Machida and catch up in FP to win gold. Anything can happen. This is what I'm telling myself so that I won't as devastated as now. We brace this together for the sake of Yuzu :ghug:

edit: i was wrong on 2012. He was in 7th place in SP and then produced spectacular FP to win bronze. Edited already

If not for the CoD the SP was really good, awesome 4lo, 3A. And the knee slide 😍.
Please don't give up, we like him because of his skating, not his placement.

I guess no one cares about transitions these days its all about landing watever u r jumping
For some reason western skaters got some bonuses???

I'm also pretty anxious, but after fretting about it for like half an hour I'm mainly feeling some fire. I'll never count him out, he is a fighter, and you know he can pull the most insane things. I believe in him.

I'm not sad because he's fifth and (add you guys have said) he has a chance but it will be hard.
I'm sad because I hate to see him like that, I don't want to see him like that, like the face he had at the K&C.
Unfortunately, my stream froze after the combo of Doom and returned in the middle of the StSq so I can't say anything about his performance...

Hello I'm at work right now and couldn't watch. Can someone tell me the marks of the first five ? Don't give up on Yuzu too soon, he's good at making come backs ;)

Free skate still left good luck and yuzu do ur best i dont care whatever placement just enjoy your free skate and show us your passionate skating
Oh god im just really tired all of sudden lol

He was having a lengthy chat with Brian prior to starting and then seemed to rush his usual on-ice routine. Maybe the nerves were a bit too much for him and taking to time to calm himself was unfortunately slightly too long :( it's ok, he'll pull it back
