I want to fly to Helsinki to :dev2::dev2::dev2: them for using that stupid glaring lights even during SP. I’m so sad that they have the broadcasting rights of such an important competition.

Got back from work, saw the results, watched the video, still catching up on posts here...
Amazing skate despite the combo, disgusted by the judging - especially the GOEs for 4Lo and 3A - but sadly that's not unusual plus Europe; thank goodness the next Olympics is in Asia.
Competition is not over yet.

To cheer up every one including myself, this is what I wrote in this forum on March 24th:
... even that quick browsing of your posts about dreaming was enough for me to have a dream about him last night. I don't know why but in the SP warm-up he was being followed by three girls. Then he tried a double jump, clashed to one of those girls and injured his ankle. At the end, he was forced to withdraw from SP. Then everyone was speculating whether he can make it up in FS. It was an exhausting and weird dream.
Now I want this to be the meaning of that dream:
Those three girls were SP, FS, and total scores, he crashed his SP score on a double toe loop which is what happened. Though he withdrew from SP but still got qualified for FS which as an audience in the dream I was thinking was already a miracle. Every one was speculating whether he would be able to make up for the lost points or not which is again what is happening right now. Well, based on my dream he did not clash to the other two girls; he should be fine.
And with this post I clearly see that I'm getting crazy

I wish I could feel less gloomy about the whole thing though! Please give me some of your good feelings
(I can't help but thinking that I jinxed him lol, yesterday I went to an event by the Japanese association of my city and we were playing bingo. It was the last game, I wrote his name in one of the sheets and Bam: I was only missing one letter and the first one that came was mine. I was also using purple ink...)

I never said that there's never wrong judging or that all rules are applied evenly everywhere. If you want to debate if the call was correct, feel free to do it. I was just showing you where to find the rules. People can disagree with the scoring and judging but I just don't understand why so many people are pushing the narrative that JSF and the judges are actively screwing Yuzuru over based on the scoring of this particular performance and that he is now a huge victim of the system whereas everyone else are showered with points. You'd think that he had scored in the 80's or something that would actually warrant such a reaction.

You are not alone; I also feel guilty. I wanted to take today morning off to watch the competition and when I asked my boss for a half day off somehow he thought I'm sick and I have a problem. I didn't correct him, later in different occasions he was trying to make sure I'm fine, asking if I need any help ... The point is he got so worried and I didn't correct him and it was no different from lying. Then I couldn't get rid of this comprehension that as a punishment for me Yuzuru will not have a good skate. Well it happened but seriously it's just the selfish thought of I and you sis. At the end of the day who I am to have such an effect on universe.
P.S. But this was the first (or almost first, I don't remember if I had lied before) and last lie of my life, I promise.

Lol I told my boss I needed the day off to do some paperwork related to my graduation, which is true. But I was so devastated I couldn't get out of bed until I saw the interview with Charlie White where Yuzu looked a bit better and even smiled. Way too late in the day to go and do the things I needed to do, so now I'm feeling bad because he was disappointed and because I let it affect me so much that I couldn't get out of bed to do important stuff...

I haven't even tried. But I feel much better still than I did last year.
I think either way, I wouldn't have been able to sleep in any scenario. I'd be far too excited.
I couldn't wait to get up this morning to check on the short program results, but I first downloaded as many videos as I could before they were deleted. Then I checked the results and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that Yuzuru was way down in fifth place. Fifth place! I had anticipated the top two spots being occupied by Yuzuru and Nathan Chen and worried that Nathan would be in the top spot because of his jump consistency. Then I noticed that he was sixth and that the top spots were taken by Javi, Shoma, and Patrick, all with scores over 100 points. Not what I had contemplated at all!
I still haven't been able to bring myself to watch any of the videos. I've read here that Yuzuru's performance was great except for the combo of doom and late start. If I watch it and think that it's a great performance, I will probably get upset that he was not rewarded more points. On the other hand, watching him mess up the 4S+3T combo again will just get me worrying again. I don't want to watch the performances of the other skaters, either. If they are great performances, then I will worry about Yuzuru's ability to overcome them, and if they are not so great, I will be upset with the thought that they might have been over-scored. What a conundrum!
It has been an exhausting day and I feel very lethargic now. No appetite either. Maybe it's time for some good single malt scotch on the rocks...

Tbh, I am not that sad about the fact that Yuzuru is only 5th place in his SP (okay,I am 
for a moment) because I know he will still win on Saturday. Yuzuru will not take that April 1 as a joke that's for sure!

CBC had their broadcast and they were complimentary about yuzu's program. Kurt was back to gushing about how good he is, saying that the 4loop was perfect and how he was in awe of the guys who could do edge jump quads because there was no solid take off point. He gushed over the skating in and out of the 3axel too, praising his skating skills. He again said how he was a huge star in the skating world with devoted fan followers. They pointed out the weight shift being the reason for the non combo decision. I think this was the first time the CBC crew has commented on his sp and you could tell they really liked it.
They had a little interview with yuzu and he again, like with Charlie, said he has 2 more chances at the 4sal. Kurt said these guys live for doing those jumps.

I told all my clients that I was 'visiting family' and wouldn't be available. (It's true though, my family is watching WC and I'm visiting them to watch with them.) --I wouldn't be able to do good designs anyway if my head is full of World Championships.

Although ultimately invalidated, the 2T he attached to CoD was worth watching. I don't know why, but I must have re-watched 12-13 times since. I notice new details every single time. He's too fast and skating literally all over the place, engaging audiences from all sides, for me to be able to take it all in at once! If there ever was a performance worthy of a 360 camera treatment, it'd be this one! If only because I'm dying to see his expressions and gestures that weren't captured by the broadcast camerawork.

Back on this thread, I've missed you all!
Hanyu's score seems low for what he put out for me. His combo scared me for a second, but I was so happy he went fir the quad Salchow. His PCS scores were pretty high. I can't wait for Saturday's Hope and Legacy!
