THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

My god they just speak. so. much

The interview was pretty great ! And I heard Yuzu say "merci beaucoup", my life is complete, I'm dying.

His "merci beaucoup" was the cutest thing that we have never seen before :)

That was so funny. I think yuzu was lost during that french interview, but just kept laughing, like you always do when you are not sure what is going on!! I understood everything they were saying, in both languages, but they still confused me, lol, with all the back and forth and laughing. Great fun!

The NY Times posted an article about Yuzuru! So cool that such a prominent newspaper wrote about him ^0^ I love how humble Yuzu is despite just having the skate of his life.

"There will be the older skaters like Fernández, 25, and Patrick Chan, the thoughtful Canadian who is 26 and finished fifth here with a resurgent performance. There will be the new wave, and there will be Hanyu."

ugly crying

In the midst of everything I forgot to post here. Although I did leave some grumbles at the competition thread while it was going on.

I knew he was going to rail at the FS but all his landings were immaculate?! Just W T F? He just never had a free skate like this at Worlds, ever. I thought there would be a least one wobble at a spin, one off axis triple, but there was none of that. I ended up being late to my appointment because I had to know if he was going to win or not and for this I blame no one else other than him ? !

I mentioned here several times how I just wanted to see a great H&L legacy, clean was an unlikely option but I knew it could happen and now that it did I really have no reaction, i'm numb. However, I admit that I did scream while watching it live and brought all my family to see If I was being slaughtered in my room, but that's not the point. There were some minor changes in choreography but nothing that I can complain. I'm not saying anything insightful but I really can't process it well now.

Following his career through the years is exhilarating but somehow it all ends up falling into place, how does he even manage this sorcery. Given that he can and will break the odds I wonder what this 2nd World Title will mean for him in the next years. It's a great achievement to recharge even more his confidence, although it does bring extra pressure for next season - Olympics (!). But even with it, somehow I believe he can tame it. Truly an inspiring skater (and human being) that makes me believe that limits can be surprassed by hard work and dedication.

Oh, and Congratulations! :hap93:

I think they wrote a short excerpt sometime this year about nathan chen but I don't recall when exactly. It was about the 5-quads and included in a wider topic about winter sports
So yeah, an article about Yuz is real noteworthy!

Darn actually I'm not sure if this is true. Maybe I was thinking about WP or CT. :scratch2:

My dream for this world championships was a clean Hope & Legacy! My favorite long program evern has now been done to perfection! I will be rewatching till the end of time!

Kurt was complimentary. Throughout the broadcast he has been talking about how perfect his landings were (vs, boyang's), how when he is in the zone he is unstoppable, even when he was bowing it was more like he was conducting the audience, rather than bowing... when he does a complete program like that the judges have to throw the marks at him etc.. He actually was pretty quiet throughout the program which I appreciated....

And did talk about shoma's pre rotation on the ice!!!

Always enjoy Kurt's complimentary

I hope he tries the 4lz too. Of all comps, it is the one that matters the least and he needs to get it out in competition if he wants to include it next year. I am sure he will find the time to train in Sendai before the competition.

So I usually post super rarely and use this thread to find news about Yuzu, but this time it's just impossible for me to stay quite!
I had the most nervous day ever! As I was working the time of the men's long, I asked my mom to send me a link to Yuzu's performance so that I don't spoil the result for myself (I usually watch everything live as I find it 100 times more exciting). And my mom did send me a link with a note: I hope you won't be too sad about the results.. VERY BAD moment to pull April's fools mom!! It took me one hour to find a stable connection that allowed me to watch his skate, and I swear, it was one of the worst hours in my life (I also kept thinking about the way my favourite Pogo skated yesterday and I wouldn't be able to survive another defeat)! I started crying even before he started skating and I'm not even sure that I was able to see everything the first time, as I was crying more and more with every successful jump he made. I couldn't be happier for Yuzu! I had no doubt that he's capable of such a skate, he just needed to believe in himself.
And seriously, Meoima, I think you have a crystal ball somewhere, your predictions are amazing! After 4cc short you said that he'll win the free, but be second overall, and here after SP you were sure he'll be first! Starting now, I'll just believe everything you say!

We will see his 4A someday

What's the D word?

The whole scandal, ban Russia from Winter Games thing based on do-ing. Someone even asked her this question and uh. But the rest of the article was fair, much like Yuzuru one was.

Huh, we didn't get any Yuzuru and Zhenya pics. Tomorrow hopefully.
