Actually I won't be surprised if Yuzu want to opt out of NHK this year
Do we know yet the dates for the other competitions or just SC and I think it was SA, plus the final in Japan? SC will still be fairly early, in October, so I assume he might go there again to collect more silver medals.

According to this SC is the 2nd event and SA is the last, no news on others yet. I actually think NHK would probably be earlier because JSF has to arrange for GPF and they need the time gap between NHK trophy and GPF so...
P.S I actually don't mind if he get another SC silver, since good things seem to happen when he won silver at SC

Florent's comments are interesting for me since he's retired in 2014 after Sotchi, which means that he witnessed the begining of « the quad area », and of Yuzu's carreer from the inside (he was 5th in WC 2012 in Nice).
And I'm particularly happy that Alban seems enthralled here, since he wasn't sold on H&L at all for the rest of the season and sounded disapointed in Yuzu's performance this year. That is, before saturday.

I'm sorry, but please no. SA is the last event next season IIRC, which would mean despite the GPF being in Japan, he would have to travel between these tightly packed competitions (GP - GPF - Nats) again. And I'd like to avoid that...
Also, conspiracy theory time, I wouldn't be surprised if Shoma would get NHK, not Yuzu.

, or just leave the link for the MatchArena FS video - I did not know it had the warmup in it. And I found his concentrating and moving while the other skaters were introduced really focused and intense as well. I would love to see it again.

Well, he won NHK 3 times already and Shoma is the national champion. I actually won't mind if Yuzu goes somewhere else this year. I don't think he will be travelling between GPF and Nats. I actually think if he get SA and SC for example, he would travel much less and will only be at Japan during GPF.

Yes actually. At the beginning of the competition, they speak about the new quad era and if I remember well he says that when he skated, the triple axle was a big wall, and that now it's almost the easiest of the jumps. And when Patrick skated, he said he admired his courage to face the quadsters.
Yuzu might be one of the reasons he retired, tbh - and I wonder if Javi's success with Orser wasn't another factor.
But clearly, he would have been crushed by the new generation of skaters, and he knows it.

But then again if NHK is the first event I don't think SA and NHK would be horrible for traveling too there is about 5-6 weeks gap in between, he would be in toronto most of the time, with watchful eyes supervising his training 
Now if NHK is the awkward middle event, that would be interesting.

They could go with Shoma or Yuzu and have good reasons either way. So we'll see who JSF is really trying to promote :cool14:
