I watched it live. Nothing special. They praised how he skated, but the uncle said that this year he likes Javi free program's more and a lady always been more Javi fan than Yuzu (Javi is manly you see...)

That cameraman :laugh2:

I know right?:laugh2:That viking's face:roll9:

Watching 4CC, I actually thought Korea is having more success building up their ice dance and pairs. I would like it if Japan were in contention, but you're right about the silver lining. Knowing Team Japan though, they'd want to skate even though it means being more tired.

Well, Korea is guaranteed a spot because they are the host country anyway, so it doesn't matter. I would think they would send Jun hwan cha for nebelhorn instead of Jinseo Kim so they would get that men spot too. But I don't see any country more than Japan who would make it to the team event for the remaining 5 spot; others seem to have slimmer chances?

There are two uncles that I know of at least, if I am not wrong, one is just so-so about Yuzu, the other is like... a hardcore Yuzu uber. The lady is the daughter of the uncle who is just so-so about him, I think?

So apparently in his post-gala interview he mentioned Nice worlds (sorry if this has already been said). He said that his 17 year-old self would have expected more gold medals by now, but it's fine, and that he found it thought provoking that he did the same victory pose and a swan EX at both worlds. I'm glad to see he's still as shook by nice worlds as we all are x) (well retrospectively for me, but still)

Yur' right :agree: During Worlds it was her and Yuzu uber. She is also invested in FS in Poland. I think she is leading a skating club with her father and probably has something to do with Warsaw Cup (polish Senior B competition).

"I think to be Appropriate to be skating to a rock star because he carries himself like a ROCK GOD out on the ice"
Did I heared Kurt correctly????????????

Yes, I remember this lady. She said she likes masculine-style skating more, she mentioned it during GPF 2014 gala, and the yuzu uber uncle was like... wanting to fight her or something, he said "how can someone not like his kind of skating, let me talk to them" :laugh2:

Looking back at Nice, does he mention Nanami Abe in interviews sometimes?

Unbelievable, it's been 5 years, feels like a lifetime.

Thanks to all the wonderful users that have posted their experience at worlds. I feel like a part of me was able to be at the competition too thanks to your reports . Love you all :luv17:

Here's video for different polish commentators: http://sport.tvp.pl/29758625/ms-w-lyzwiarstwie-figurowym-hanyu-najlepszy-wsrod-solistow :)
They were praising him. Even before he started his FS, they still believed he can win :) And after he skated, they were sure it's a new world record. Piotr Sobczyński was like... "I wonder if Javier Fernandez saw it or did he plug his ears and hid somewhere in a dark room". And they said this performance was Olympic champion worthy. During gala, Przemysław Babiarz was wondering why judges didn't give him 10s for components. He came to conclusion that it's probably because he skated first. If he skated last he would get a lot of 10s for sure and the score would be bigger.

Yeah, I remember it too  Her father said once that the other man is like lioness defending her children when it comes to Yuzu or sometning like that

Hello welcome to GS

Thank you for this and the translation bits too. :thank::ghug:
Is this uncle the one who used to commentate for horse-racing(?) event too? Sorry I can't remember everyone's name and who is who :slink:

Yeah, I remember it too  Her father said once that the other man is like lioness defending her children when it comes to Yuzu or sometning like that

He's hilarious. During NHK free skate 2015 he was like "leave everything you do, this is the greatest figure skating performance in history" (it was taped) and the father of the girl commented "well, people might have different taste and opinion you know..." and he immediately replied "excuse me? I won't believe it if anyone told me they have ever seen anything better than this in their life. I don't believe them!!" and the father was just like "of course it was great but I am just saying some people might think otherwise" :laugh2: he freaked out after the FS is over and the other uncle was reacting like... I don't know him I don't know my partner. (not verbatim something like that based on my memory)

He was very ecstatic during worlds 2014 too. :p

They commenting for polish public sport channel and the uncles commenting for polish Eurosport.

They usually like Yuzu too, but especially mr Babiarz can say such stupid things during broadcast sometimes... :palmf: Once at GPF 2015 he added to Yuzu's TES 110 PCS. And during this year's gala Savchenko/ Massot were skating to Nino Rota's R&J and he said "I think they are skating a part of their SP or FP because I heard this music before" and when Kaetlyn started skating after them second commentator said to him "You probably heared this song before too" to joke because he needed to correct mr Babiarz earlier :p

I don't think so. I checked his wiki page. Maybe it's not that uncle :p Maybe his uber is someone from polish eurosport.

Yuzu uber is Marek Szewczyk, he is mostly tied to horse riding. Some of his reactions are epic :drama: Some of translations can be found on this youtube channel
The second uncle was a figure skater (men's singles and ice dance). He was partner to Halina Gordon- Półtorak. She is the chair of the ice dancing technical committee in ISU.

ETA: They of course are commentig in Eurosport. Mr Babiarz is commentator to almost every sport existing on TVP (polish public television)

 What did you expect? Of course he wants more practice! And from other comments it seems that he takes the WTT thing seriously.

Perhaps he wants to practicing his SP.. Remember he said he was studying his SP alone instead of celebrating his victory.. :laugh2:
