I hardly ever post but I have a few photos from Worlds, so I thought I might share them here as well. I’m really not sure if they haven’t been shared here yet because the thread moves so fast but here are a few:

Short program including a composite image of his 3A at 10 frames per second
Free skate and the moment he finally got that gold medal
Composite image of 4S+3T from the free program (no, not the warm-up, this is THE one)

Actually i have a story! A swan prince that fell in love, but since he was a swan he couldn't say anything to the object of his devotion, until one day he was able to turn into a human yet he couldn't talk so he had to communicate using his body, which is why some of his movements are still very swan like (and he succeeded in conveying his feelings and being loved back, since there is the line "Quanto ti amo ora lo sai" and "Guarda che notte stellata d'amore per noi tu mi ami già.")
I saw it like that since the beginning because of the lyrics. Like i said before, italian and spanish sound very similar, and even if i don't know italian at all, i was able to pick up a lot of the song, so that image stayed

What a lovely interpretation! Yes, I see now after reading the lyrics translation while watching the program how they add a new meaning. This is how a swan says "I love you." :luv17:

This was many years ago (2012) but Brian used to make him take hip hop dance classes. He's actually pretty good already here. The steps are simple but he does them well and he remembers the choreography. I can see that his timing is good and he has good body awareness (neat footwork and arms) and his movements look natural. Objectively speaking, he's also far better than anyone else in that class. If he's kept up the classes, he'd be much better now

This year my goal is to make a small donation to a different cause every month, and I thought something to do with earthquake relief would be good for April. But googling in English, I mostly get articles about his win in Sochi and charity shows from years ago. What do you think?

A coach from TCC (Sonia and Javier (Raya) main coach I think? Not sure if he still is). He helps many of Brian's skaters (like Cha, Yuzu) when Orser is busy handling other students or is not around in CC (attending GPs etc). If you watch open practice videos, you would notice Yuzuru actually consult with Ghislain a lot.

I feel like dancing Yuzu must be the "secret Yuzu." Because he's so good at it, and natural and fun, it seems like he must be dancing a lot even if we never see it.

Or he's dancing so much on ice and at training that he prefers to sit elsewhere )))

I became a fan of Yuzu just before Sochi, around the GPF It was really nice meeting everyone in Helsinki, much more fun than being alone in Barcelona! It was one of the best weeks of my life, and seeing Yuzu (and figure skating) live is always an amazing experience

and just to contribute something I quickly translated the norwegian version of the gala on the YHworldTMP channel, but it doesn't show up yet? but it's submitted? maybe someone has to approve it?

also norwegian is not my first (or second) language so if i made a mistake anyone is welcome to correct it! i'll do the free program too when i'll have a little time :yay:

L1: And with this guy, he’s also fantastic. He made a world record in his program: YUZURU HANYU! This Olympic champion from Sochi showed Javier Fernandez and rest of the boys who is still the boss
L2: He was sitting in a disappointing fifth place after the short program and deliered an entirely fantastic and flawless free program
L1: It was our times best free program in figure skating
L2: and a new world record!
L2: This guy is something special
During the program:
L2: Very cool combination spin with several foot changes and original positions
L2: TRIPLE AXEL at the ending of this program
L2: Fantastic speed in the spins
L1. Yuzuzu Hanyu (lol) stands for the Championship's biggest achievement, when he made the world record in the competition, and he is the world champion. Now he has all the titles and will be defending his olympic gold next year and he’s on track.
L2: All of four different kind of quads. It’s impressive what he did. The world has not seen before a free program like what he managed to deliver. And those who have not seen this free program I recommend to google it up.

I am actually quite now to completely stalking this thread - I read it completely only from page 4000 ^^

Maybe I won't finish by autumn, but possibly next year (by then the amount of pages will hit at least 8000 ) It really depends on how much time I'll have. I read 15 pages today which is not too much...

Was watching Mao Asada's Free Skate at Worlds 2010 and the b.esp guys were talking about how the point value of the 3A perhaps doesn't accurately reflect its difficulty (they were implying it should be worth more). Sorry for off topic, it is a tiny bit related to Yuzuru, being about 3A and Team Japan and so sad Mao is retiring though, she has had a great career

Yes, the BV of 3A was less before 2010, if I'm not mistaken. I have to check it though. I think before 2010 it BV was 8,2 now it's 8,5?

ETA: yes, the new BV was adapted in May 2010. BV 8.2 --> 8.5

It was. The 3A was 8.2. Not just the 3A, the quads were less in value too. Iirc, 9.8 for 4T? the GOE factor were different too. It was x1 for triples for example. Because Plushy with a quad lost to quadless Evan, there was "ruckus" back then and they revalued the BV for several jumps and also the GOE factor.
