Anyone else who downloaded the TV asahi app?? I'm having difficulty navigating it :laugh2:
Does anyone know how the stream of the cheering will work?

It's strange...but...you turn on the app, point the phone at the TV, and press play as the performance music begins. The app will pickup the sound of the broadcast and show you the cheering section by magic! That's what I gathered from the instructional video.

Oh wow that is strange. Thank you! I will have to try it out during the competition :)

That's exactly how it works :)

Who is Ajinomoto? I could only see Yuzuru in that clip, am I missing something? :scratch2:

Ajinomoto is a food company that sponsors Yuzu. There were articles and a video posted a few weeks back which gladiolusc very kindly translated here that says Ajinomoto provides Yuzu with conditioning and nutrition support as part of their "Victory Project" and they are looking to sculpt Yuzu's gold medal winning body . He's been working hard to increase strength and stamina to be able to perform his 4 quad program and the results are very visible in The Purple Pants and his UA gear (from all angles too...front, back, side...). Truth be told, I really think this is the best shape he's ever been in. 40 quads a training session is no joke but it looks like he's able to do it whilst managing his health because of his alignment when he lands his jumps so he's not putting unnecessary stress on his foot, ankle, knee or hips and because his core, glutes and thighs are able to handle all the heavy lifting.

For me he's more androgynous than feminine, but even if he was feminine, I don't see why that should be a problem ? :scratch2:

Me too. I don't think he acts feminine at all and the androgyneity comes from his pretty features from Mama Hanyu which he can't control  I think it makes him very good looking (I am jealous of his perfect cupid's bow lips!).

:ghug:Sorry, my days got terribly busy again and i couldnt stop by here these days!
thanks everyone for all the updates. :ghug:

Anyway, go yuzu!

About "last prince" or "last prince this season", he says he always has wanted to get a clean program, but he couldnt so far. He has no special feelings with LGC, but his wish is just doing his best. He hopes the performance which he would find the best this season.

At another interview, he says what's important is which performance he will get rather than scores for breaking World record. http://www.hochi.co.jp/sports/etc/2...rom=rss&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

He seems calm and relaxed. :)

the worse scenario at WTT

Chen: do 6 quads
Uno: do 4F2T in the 2nd hafl
Hanyu: *giving free quad masterclass how to show off properly* do the mighty 4A

PChiddy: *call all the reporter in his speed-dial list* "You know how much I worry about their well being becouse of those quads?!"

and Chan amusingly snag Hanyu title as memelord on Tumblr for a week

I'm sorry but :laugh2: i keep laughing at that phrase (Although it is pretty accurate in many ways)
And YES, i love to sketch his eyes and his lips :luv17:

BTW, i can't go back and quote all the posts but all of you guys who keep saving the pics... They are in a public folder :P PM if you don't have the link and want it

You think that would be enough to snag the meme lord title from Yuzu? Especially if somehow Yuzu had just landed a 4A? I kind of doubt it
Sorry Chiddy, your face is just kind of not as expressive!

oh maybe you're right there
idk the good vibe from WTT already got me, I'm just happy seeing my Twitter feed and all the pic revealed by ISU, WTT is somehow like a 'formal' Ice Show, happy vibe everywhere and I love it

I want Yuzu to take it easy and give 24 point for team Japan :cheer:

The expressions anyone could make would be shadowed by our boy's own expression after landing it

So now it seems even Asahi is promoting the rivalry between Yuzuru and Shoma, Matsuoka directly told him that Shoma wants to beat him, Yuzuru answered he knows but he wants to win as well, also he said he knows many young skaters who have higher bv already but if he does all his elements cleanly there is nothing to be afraid of, and he is confident. And and the title on upper-right of the interview wass "the minor score gap between gold and silver medalists." At least Asahi seemed more human than Fuji now them too...

I wonder if that's him talking about this competition or also next season :slink:
(Really, i love him, but if he's going to go bet on him going clean next season then i'm afraid i'm going to start finding grey hairs and i'm only 25...)

I don't think he will bet on this next season. And this season it is still true. With 2 clean skates at Worlds the gap between gold and silver would have been greater.

And thank goodness for that. As it is, I find the "minor score gap" completely irritating and not reflective of what I saw on ice.

The dreadful moment when Shoma's score was about to be announced...I actually like him, but he comes nowhere near Yuzu.

Technically speaking, next season their jump BV will still probably be higher than his. Nathan has the 4Lz, 4F and will add the 4Lo, Shoma will add the 4Lz so even with the addition of the 4Lz for Yuzuru, pure jump BV is going to be on their side. BTW Patrick it seems is going to try and add a 4F next season, though I don't know if that'll mean a 4 quad program too.
Still, if scored properly, his sentence should be correct. If.

We talked just yesterday how the 4Lz is needed. Well more and more each day it is proving true. He's probably the best in the entire field at reading in advance and letting himself enough time to not rush.

I am not going to comment on this forced, nonsensical, Shoma rivalry because it makes me roll my eyes so hard that they're in danger of falling out of my head!
