I wonder what's bothering him, it's clear that he isn't feeling good...

I don't know what's going on but he was off starting from the introductions.

The worst isn't that he skated like this, who cares, it's WTT, it's that he couldn't get out a clean LGC and he'll beat himself up even more, especially as this is Japan and that ruddy, nonsensical rivalry. Sigh.
 
i really hope they don't keep LGC next season because as much its an amazing program, and the audience love it, its just not working for him, even when hes in great form [WR in H&L], it still isnt working, and its not worth it with the olympics next season:(

I wish I could just pick up a phone or something, and call him, and tell him it's okay.
If there ever was a time to have an off day, this is the competition to do it.

Not the skate he or his fans hoped for. Now I really hope he keeps LGC another year.

I'm glad I got see him live though. He landed a Quad Loop and clean COD during warm up. He is so fast and his jumps so high and light.

Also gave him some easter chocolates and hope he reads my letter to him.

Now give us a clean H+L tomorrow please.

Brian not there? Shoma rivalry? LGC bad luck? I have no idea. But maybe he shouldn't keep it. He knew early that PW lifted him up, and this one is just more complicated. His face when he started... he didn't look like he would "perform" the way he did at Worlds. He was NOT having fun at any point today. Trying to go clean... it's not the mindset that works for him. I think he should up his base value. Mastering difficulty focuses him more than trying to be perfect.
 
Alright, I just jinxed Yuzu again by watching him live ^^
But seriously he was way too intense from the start (which isn't good as Brian said) and I think he put far too much pressure on himself to finally get a clean LGC. The thing is he is a very emotional skater and the slightest disruption fo his feelings creates havoc. It's like a all or nothing with him. Maybe now the pressure is off for the LP and he'll be less tense tomorrow. Anyway, better here than at Worlds ... :)
 
I really hope he's not keeping LGC, even though I love it, it's certainly not a lucky program for him unfortunately

If he kept it then my biggest fear would be that the mistakes he did this season would block him mentally in the most unexpected moments.

As much as I love this program, I say now, let it go.
