my babyyy i hope he's alright
i dont care about the score - it's just WTT after all
i just wanna know what's bothering him and hope it goes away soon

Alright, I just jinxed Yuzu again by watching him live ^^
But seriously he was way too intense from the start (which isn't good as Brian said) and I think he put far too much pressure on himself to finally get a clean LGC. The thing is he is a very emotional skater and the slightest disruption fo his feelings creates havoc. It's like a all or nothing with him. Maybe now the pressure is off for the LP and he'll be less tense tomorrow. Anyway, better here than at Worlds ... :)

The pressure is most definitely not off! He has something to prove as the world champ and not going clean will put more pressure on him to go clean in the long. Ah, I hope this pattern of bad SP and amazing FS continues for one more comp :drama:

OMG
No LGC next season please.
Since it's WTT I don't care, the worst of all is his disappointment with himself.

It's pretty bad, and Yuzu is probably feeling it the most right now. But he can bounce back from setbacks as he has done many times before. Even if WTT turns out to be a low point in this season, he can use it as fuel for the next season. His Kuyashii feelings are what make him stronger. -And our cheering and support, of course. Gamba Yuzu!

I'm a pigeon, carrying a Meoima message

"I can't watch live from hospital and only heard of the scores. Lol you guys should not be disappointed. He should bomb at WTT than any other serious competitions. Have figure skating fans ever care for WTT? It's not a serious competition and he already won all the biggest competitions (GPF and WC) already. I am sorry for Japanese fans but WTT only means for the commercial side. Yuzuru should better save many of his clean performances for next season."

If he kept it then my biggest fear would be that the mistakes he did this season would block him mentally in the most unexpected moments.

As much as I love this program, I say now, let it go.

I agree completely, if he really wants to keep it, keep it as a ex. but as a competition program, it's not working, and after an entire season of it not being clean, I don't think it's going to work no matter how hard they try..
I'd say, move on, learn from the mistakes and try something new

He can bomb the LP or whatever, it's WTT, I don't care. I just hope he's not injured or delaying surgery like that post in the competition thread said?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Maybe he was too focused on going clean - to the extent that all energy disappeared after the loop. Yeah, I'm a bit upset especially if he is - but to be honest WTT is the best event to make mistakes at. It is not important and it has been a long season.

I don't want him to keep LGC though, mental blocks are too stressful

does anyone know what he said to Tracy straight after he came off??

eta: is Brian coming for the FS? or is he still on vacation?

I thought he was in his best shape?

Well after that short, he's 20 points away from Uno who's in 1st, so I'm guessing if he wants to win not only does he have to do a perfect long program, he'll have to include that quad lutz, and 5 quads for 20 points away might not even be enough, so I'm guessing that he'll have to make something up...maybe become the first man to land 6 quads in a free skate? It's not impossible, but not very probable. Anyways best of luck from everyone here Yuzu, you will still be the BEST IN OUR MINDS.
