Well after that short, he's 20 points away from Uno who's in 1st, so I'm guessing if he wants to win not only does he have to do a perfect long program, he'll have to include that quad lutz, and 5 quads for 20 points away might not even be enough, so I'm guessing that he'll have to make something up...maybe become the first man to land 6 quads in a free skate? It's not impossible, but not very probable. Anyways best of luck from everyone here Yuzu, you will still be the BEST IN OUR MINDS.

I hope he doesn't do anything reckless to try to catch Shoma. It's not worth it. Just skate normally and let the chips fall where they may.

WTT doesn't do total scores. So the deficit the SP doesn't do anything...

my stream decided to work properly for the men (thank you did you have to???) and my mom decided to join me for the last group..... she learned 2 new things about me today: what it would sound like if I got physically tortured for about five minutes, and that I have a pretty extensive repertoire of swear words in two languages.

So this may increase the chance that he might keep the SP for next season so he can do it perfectly at least once? Well, he could do that, or, and here's another idea what we could do with it: stab it, drown it, burn it, and then shoot the ashes into space. Just think about it as a viable alternative.

Not saying he should, but every Yuzu fan knows that anything other than 1st won't really do for him, he would want to win, so I'm just guessing that he'll do a 5 quad program this time, I mean from what people are saying 60% chance of landing quad lutz is actually quite good, just saying.

Hi, another lurker appearing again here. After that heart-breaking SP, I wonder, why didn't Yuzu add a jump to his 3A and make it a combo? Is there any rule that I missed, or was it just a case of no emergency layout for SP?

Yeah, on the one hand I know it's just WTT, it's not important at all, and he just won the Worlds but on the other - he takes such things too close to the heart. Tracy, please, hug him for us. Yuzuru, no need to say sorry, we all had days like that.

you can't add a combo to the axel in the short program

In the SP the 3A has to be a solo jumping pass according to the requirements.

According to the rules, the axel must be a solo jump in the SP.

Yeah I was so glad Tracy and Grishlain went straight to comforting him when he got off the ice... The way he kept bowing to Team Japan, too. He should just take care of himself. I hate seeing him like this... idc about the scores...
