Oh believe me, I wouldn't have shared this if it felt like they were sneaking up on him and he wasn't aware. Just spreading a bit of levity!
 
Going to squeeze all my pooh bears tomorrow and hope for the best. It won't be an easy fight in the freeskate, but I hope he will go clean. A clean Seimei would be legendary and a gift to the worldwide audience that is tuning in for the Olympics.

Yuzuru was injured at Worlds 2016, the left foot. Still came in 2nd.
Then 2017 ACI, the FS meltdown was cos of downgrade of content and him being afraid of injuring his right knee.

This time IS the Olympics, regardless how his ankle is, or knee, or whatever parts of his body, he will skate his heart out. There will be no holding back.
He can collapse after that and permanently retire if he wants

We are just happy to see him skate.
 
At the end of his step sequence he swept his arms over his head in an arc with his eyes closed and I involuntarily let out a moan and the people around me heard it.

I am ashamed, but also not really.

Looking forward to the FS. That was perfection!

It has been such a long time I see Yuzuru Hanyu showing much happiness and calmness on the ice. It is so rare and so long. And to see him loving the ice that much is very inspiring.

I'd rather see Yuzuru Hanyu happily skating than all the top skating competitions in the world. Medals what? I don't care. He has inspired so many people and people love his skating, not because of the medals he gets.

I only hope that he will have fun and truly enjoy the Olympics. He deserves this joyful moment. And when he is truly joyful, his happiness is contagious. People will feel right and feel fulfilled.

Thank you Yuzuru Hanyu, to come back to the ice after so many struggles, to show your love for skating, to embrace all the attention and support. We do not deserve you.

Quoting myself again because this is what we really need right now. Yes Yuzuru Hanyu did well the SP but we should not forget the final battle tomorrow. I know he wants to skate well. I know he can do it.

He appreciates his fans and the support people keep sending him. I don't care about the medal. I just want to see him skating beautifully for himself foremost, to feel that he can truly love the Olympics as it is, not the huge attention, crazy expectation, and pressure. He loves skating and showing his love for skating to the world. And I am sure the whole world also deserve to witness such beautiful, powerful and perfect moments from Seimei that Yuzuru Hanyu himself is totally capable of.

Let's forget all the negative thoughts, don't repeat yourself about what happened in the past, let's believe in Yuzuru Hanyu himself. Let's all believe that he can pull through the final trial.

He is a beautiful skater and a beautiful person especially his mind. We should be grateful for whatever he has shown us today. And wishes him the best for tomorrow.
 
Very good job, Yuzuru. Had my doubts but he proved me wrong. Sitting out the last competitions was the right strategy.

Hanyu just started jumping 3 weeks before the Olympics. He must sit out most competitions because he could not jump by the time those competitions happened.
 
I have been off these forums for so long but I had to come back just to say that was magical. I honestly didn't know what to expect but I heard he was happy to be there and that he was smiling. When he stepped onto the ice I knew he had it. He owned that ring and it was beautiful. I can't wait to see what he does in the free because he had had so much adversity and he always pulls out his best when that happens. This is his "Grand Prix Final" this season. I am in awe.
 
Now after that majestic come back, I wish him all the best at the FS tomorrow. I won't be able to watch live tomorrow but I am hoping to return home and him the Olympic Champion once again. Congratulations Yuzuru for an awesome come back!:agree::clap::points:

:biggrin: Yeah that was a shockingly sexy moment in an otherwise ethereal program lol :o: My favorite moment tbh.... (besides the jumps)
 
I was so nervous I couldn't watch so waited until it was all over before checking. Thrilled to hear he did so well!
