Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

TV program called "Kataritei" was aired last night and a current ISU judge Yukiko Okabe talked about the rule change of the next season and it was interesting.

・Marking GOE in 11 grades from -5 to +5, the reason for this was there were the voices they wanted to mark more than +3. And in Ms. Okabe's opinion, 4S in SEIMEI of the Olympics would be graded as GOE +5 in new rule as well.

・The length of Men's FS was decided to be 4 minutes from now of 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Japan was opposed to this idea (the opinions of the coaches and teachers were the last 30 seconds of the program was very important to show the judges what the skaters were capable of doing to win), but other countries wanted the elements of the program be condensed in 4 minutes and to make the time length equal to the ladies' FS, and the major reason was said to be they wanted to make the time length of the whole competition shorter.

I hope the video will be uploaded, it was funny that Honda said 15 points for 4A was not enough, it should have 20

Oh, that's the one I posted just above your post.
-Kenji Miyamoto also praised Yuzu's pinpoint musicality. That he never missed a beat and timed his movements perfectly, especially just before the choreographic sequence.

Misha posted this message on twitter; I don't know if anything happened, but very glad Yuzuru has understanding friends like Misha. I don't know if he is trying to be funny and make it more light with the "date" part,, but I guess it's possible people will ask for anything!!
I feel he is angry but trying his best to not sound like. Now, it is confession time, which one of you guys wanted to date Yuzu? Haaaaaaaaaaa? :dev3:

Can anyone figure out what Brian told him after he got off the ice before saying he was proud of him?

“Great job” is the only thing I can clearly discern; I think it’s “you did a great job,” but it could also be “what a great job” or similar. And everything after “so proud of you” is completely muffled to my ears... maybe someone here has better ones? Pooh-ears, even? [emoji23]

Even if I'm older, would love to have a friendly date with him.
I am sure he can understand english but has difficulty in experessing himself.
He seems to be a nice person so it will be fun to talk to him about things he is passionate about.

Czech commentary of Yuzuru's 2018 Olympic SP with English subtitles uploaded by Moni: https://youtu.be/AN1ukZIfavk.

B Esp commentary uploaded by AlatarielNerwen: https://youtu.be/ZmkmQEeyyyY.

Many thanks to the uploaders. Hope to watch and hear as many commentaries of Yuzuru's splendid Olympic SP performance as possible. Now in retrospect I can rationalize that Worlds 2015 and 2016 happened to make him the competitor that he was at Pyeongchang. Truly not in vain. :)

Misha sounds annoyed with all the requests. Though his tweet sounds like Chinese to English translation. Cos in mandarin we say 'People(means I) not so free to....' when annoyed

Now I've seen 8 million yen at the auction, how about finishing right now ? Seriously, the deadline is tomorrow night but it is going to be insane again I guess.

I think the trolls/haters should be arrested or something, they don't feel anything about 3.11 anymore and I'm embarrassed to be the same Japanese. (assuming they are Japanese)

I agree. Why mess up something that's going to charity? Boggles the mind. But people feel they are free to behave badly on the internet and do things they'd never do in person.

On a brighter note, Figure Skate TV is airing tonight. They sometimes have back-stage clips and interesting discussions, so that's something to look forward to. They will be covering the Olympic performances and a little bit on Junior Worlds.

lol, this is the greatest thing ever...

Edit.

Actor/ Director John Cameron Mitchel published about Yuzuru in his instragran account, calling him "The Baryshnykov on ice "
