I'm not sure a 5-quad program can ever be called "safe"! ;-D

I think that repeating might not have been the plan until last season. If the more edgy Let's go crazy and Hope & Legacy would've been received better we might've seen a repeat of that. Perhaps not Hope & Legacy, but even if it would've been a repeat I think Let's go crazy would've been less safe than Chopin for the third time....

Long time without posting here...Well,initially I wasn't very excited about the music choices,but if he's comfortable with them I'm OK.For me keeping watching Yuzuru skate is enough , and Seimei is better choice than any opera song

But I'm a bit concerned about the layout. With Nathan, Shoma and Boyang doing all these quads,Idk I feel that the titles won't depend on what he does, but on how clean can skate the others.I feel like he's in Patrick's position in Sochi...Well I guess we have to wait until COR when he competes against Nathan to see how this strategy works...

Personally, I think it's ok, even if he's beaten a few times by the other top skaters in the first half of the season... it's at those times when Yuzu really feels himself up against a wall, that he pulls out amazing performances. But the competition is getting very close right now. So it's going to be tense viewing the whole season.

And now that we know it is Seimei 2.0, I'm just sitting here praying "don't mess up the costume, don't mess up the costume, the 2015-16 one was so amazing!"

He can troll everyone but I will never buy 5 quad layout with one 3A only 2 pts difference in BV and nicely done axel could top that 5 quad BV with GOE factor (that is not him ) I will sit in the corner and wait until ACI or second half of the season when lz will make glorious appearance, for sure he has reason not to show it. Either its not ready enough.. or something else. As Orser said he is in best shape ever , thats amazing to hear, I can see it the way he jumps, how do jumps look... his jumps have never been this good by media day . This is more than enough to make me happy.

Didn't in the new interview he said when he received the world record score for the first time with Seimei, he decided at that time that this will be his Olympic program?

Yuzuru said he was already determined to use Seimei in the Olympics when 2015-2016 season ended because he could perform well in it, feel comfortable, didn't have to think anything because he could be "himself" during the performance.

He also said he had a little hesitation in recycling Chopin but he had none with Seimei.

Thank you all for the updates I was the one who was hoping for new program, but after reading and hearing his comments, I have nothing to say right now. I just believe in him and keep supporting him :agree:

For Seimei I do believe that, but still - we don't know what would've happened if he had the same success with Hope & Legacy that he had with Seimei. I like the combination of Chopin and Seimei, but I think Let's go crazy & Seimei would've been more daring.

TBH I don't think he'll bring the 4lz, If he didn't add it now maybe it's because it's not stable enough. I can see what is his goal though, consistency ala Medvedeva. We've to wait and see what happens.
Btw his jumps are more gorgeous than ever

The only reason one 3A would go is because he wants a 4A (but even then, I think a SP with 2 axels is more likely than one 3A in the LP )
And yes, it's so great to hear and see in those clips that his condition is amazing. Hopefully he can carry that through the Olympic season and give us a glorious Seimei at Olys. Even if he wouldn't win with it, it would be a program and performance for the ages :luv17:

I definitely am happy for SEIMEI 2.0 as his LP. That LP is so memorable, even younger skaters use its music cut. I also don't think Yuzuru is playing it safe. Yuzuru has shown a variety of range over the past seasons, and I think it was an experiment for him as well to measure for himself what program is best for the Olympic season. Chopin 3.0 I think is nice since he had tweaked with it, the music is the same but the program is different. I do think the same is for SEIMEI -the program he felt most connected to in honor of his heritage, he had chosen as his weapon to this Olympic bloodbath. I'm sure, besides the layout, he had probably tweaked with the choreography, and I look forward to that.
