Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Well, it's not such a wonderful anime in my eyes. I give it at most 6 out of 10, sorry Yuzu, not agreeing with you on this one :slink:

Well it is a shonen, maybe we are not the target. I really am into Chihaya Furu right now, and of course I´m watching sweet Sakura Card Captor.

Two days ago I just thought: Boyang to TCC would be funny  (but nothing serious)
When I look at today's pictures... Could Boyang be one of Brian's top secret newbies? Well, that would be some team :laugh2:

I haven’t thought about Boyang, I was thinking about Dabin Choi, she did enough at the Oly and end up with very good pleacement at the ladies, but you could tell she need more training over artistry and choreography, not sure if it is easier to send her there, since Cha is already there, as one of the beloved skaters at TCC. (Sorry, Maybe a bit off topic in Yuzu’s thread :p )

I love the Swan EX at Oly, my previous favourite was Rostelecom Cup last year, now it’s definitely Oly’s version, the sense of accomplishment leak from his performance and everything is prefect.:love: (I was hoping he could bring a new EX at the beginning of the season, now I am so glad that he recycled it, and I feel a bit sad that it could very likely be the last time we seen Swan :sad21:)

Wonderful choice, forever TAICHI. When they were kids, I loved Arata but as teenagers Taichi has such depth in his character, especially in the recent chapters of the manga.

There's a chunk of Live TV coverage scheduled for 1:45-3PM for returning athletes. Yuzu will probably show up there.

It begins, another round!! :drama: I believe it will continue for a few days :dbana:

We had 4 gold medals in this Olympics, so I kind of hope the focus from the media will be spreading to other athletes this time, which might lessen his job a little bit. It was amazing the female athletes did great, Takagi sisters won 5 medals in total (Nana won two gold, Miho won gold, silver, and bronze). I am happy for Miho especially because she did have cross talk with Yuzuru on the newspaper before Sochi Olympics, but she couldn't be a representative for the Olympics at that time. But look what she has done now. Hope she is going to have nice chat with Yuzuru if she has a chance :)

And Yuzuru is the only male gold medalist, again

Yes, last time there was only Yuzu to focus on. Now, the media can spread the attention. I think it's good. Especially girl power! The women on team Japan were so amazing.

The Japanese female speedskaters were definitely getting lots of attention in Japan :). Before I left I had gone to Tokyo Central Post Office again and there was a separate line to buy Nao Kodaira’s stamp after she won gold (the regular line for the Olympic stamps was long too, and this was at noon on a Thursday).

Shirota talked with the media in Korea, she said that recovering from the injury was top priority for Yuzuru but she was expecting his success on 4A in the competition next season. His best jump is axel jump, to do quad is difficult in the first place but she thinks he can do it. She said Yuzuru told her "I will do it no matter what, I will definitely win the Olympics." in the beginning of January when he was able to do only single jump. "He really carried out his words. The strength he has and the will to believe in himself is topnotch. You rarely see such an athlete. I was moved (by his performance in gala) today." She said his participation in WC would depend on the condition of his ankle.
