Hmmm... Being a fan who is far from being an aunt to him, I’d probably feel awkward if I were to recieve a mother’s day greeting from him :laugh:

I forgot to add to yesterday's post, almost every P&G campaign requires that the fans must purchase their products, I can say it will be huge loss for them if Yuzuru leaves them in future. (P&G might be one of his sponsors but still)

There will be the talk show tonight after the ice show in Makuhari, I hope the reports are permitted and it will be nice if he gives us any hint about new programs (but I guess he won't :laugh:)

There's always a shock, and then, most of the time, I come to like the costume. --Except Vertigo and RJ2 :laugh:

The person himself, his expressions and beautiful movements does make everything more tolerable. But when I start forgiving the costume, I thought of what it could have been and how much a better costume would make the already good performance even better and I cry a little inside :laugh:

I realized today that I had seen enough pictures of it that I’ve become desensitized and it almost even looks normal to me now!

There's the "it's sooooo.... Yuzu factor, which, when you love him, makes it just that much easier to make even the worst costumes guilty pleasures (especially when they carry happy memories or ideas - that's why I can't help liking RJ2 myself.)

I know he gets stick from fans, friends and foes sometimes for the costumes, but when I think about it... there isn't a single one up to now (that I've seen, don't test me out here) that I don't have some fondness for from watching him skate something quite magical in(even the powder blue one - I have a very person and deeply held belief that no one over six or under eighty six should be seen in that shade - but Yuzuru is challenging it with that piece)

The strawberry pink diagonal one is pushing it, true, but since Continues With Wings... even it is creeping round any mental block I had put up.

So maybe Doryzu will win me out after we see it live.
 
Yuzu makes his costume work well. And when he's motion we can forget about what he is wearing. His movements are awesome itself.

And if we actually couldn't... for most of his own competition/exhibition pieces some kind soul has managed to put up footage of practices in his plain black under armour, which has an appeal all its own :)

I've also discovered a total weakness for his exhibition encores or the bits on CiONTU when he is doing one of his high energy pieces in a romantic costume - Seimei in the Requiem waterfall; PWW in the Hare in nare outfit or the Blue Etude; LGC in his Notte Stellata white and sparkles (our quite crazy - in a good way! - swan prince...) Don't know why, but I just do love the way he can look so ethereal, unearthly, even fragile in and just amping it up wildly. The dissonance just gets to me.
 
He makes the outfit work with his beauty and they grow on you quite quickly. His costume choices are questionable only at first glance to me. As I become exposed to them more and more I love each and every one of them. They have this unique beauty no one can pull off or imitate. Only yuzu can pull off the outfits, because he has this surreal and unreal body line, so slim yet so beautiful and graceful like a swan.
