Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Thank you for posting the articles of People's honor award outside of Japan :) Yuzuru has received countless awards so far, but I would say this award is the most honorable one because it is from the government. This will give him even more possibilities in his future life than before.

Congratulations Hanyu-senshu :)!

You definitely deserve it as your skating made us really happy and proud in the winter Olympics, also warmed our hearts by giving hopes to keep going.

Even if it relied on the government’s intention in some degree, the award itself is wonderful.

(I hope someday Ichiro-senshu (baseball player) will receive it too :luv17:.)

Because that's the LGC hair style and fans love it:love:He's super handsome when he combs back his hair and shows the forehead.

So I always read in here but was too lazy to actually write a comment but well what can I say, now I‘m here.

Congrats to Yuzu for this award he totally deserves every one he gets!

And in relation to the post above mine: I did see a video of him trying a 4A somewhere but I don‘t know when that was. Is he actually training it or was that just a rumour? Because I could totally see him be the first one to land it. After his injury of course but he seems to land his quads quite alright already, soooo.... :D

Welcome, and post often.
The 4A has been a life-long goal and dream for Yuzu. I think he was training it in harness last year and he definitely said he wants to train it and land it in competition even if he's not the first to do so.

Yuzuru is 3rd in this poll though ;) (1st Shohei Ohtani, 2nd Ichiro Suzuki; it is baseball season now), these three are super talented, hard working, respectable athletes in my opinion. Besides, all of them are my favorite sports personalities too. I'm just happy to know many people seem to think in the same way :coffee:.

First of all , congrats Yuzu for the award, I can't imagine how important must be to receive it, even it made to the spanish news,that is:eeking:

I don’t know what’s the difference between this performance and the Makuhari one (besides the little stumble) but I’m liking today’s performance more than the previous one. Somehow I felt like it had more strength or something...I don’t know. Did anything change or is it the camera work or is it just me getting used to the costume?

I agree completely , today's performance looked more natural to me he went with flow of the music and last week's one seemed a bit forced to me .
 
It's a bit of an off topic but is there anyone on this thread who likes to experiment with Yuzuru skating videos trying them with a different music? Basically I have an idea about this exhibition program but with another music in my mind. I really like the way he skates though I'm not really into the song, sorry to say that. If anyone can and wants to create an alternative version to upload it just for fun and appreciation of beauty of Yuzuru's skating- please DM me, maybe we could create something beautiful to enjoy. Thanks.:)

His costumes do pretty much always creep around our mental blocks.... I mean, I'm a newbie and have come round even to the R&J2 (I think it was the 2014 Worlds clips on youtube that did it for me). We'll never love Doryzu blue but it really does flow beautifully when he gets going...

(And when the world actually finds out he truly IS a space ninja kitten, maybe they will ALL make sense. That's how the aliens all dress :) )

yes!! i do this all the time with my friend (it's the only way i can get him to watch figure skating lol)

anyway this is a ton of fun and i learned that Yuzuru Hanyu is absolutely an alien from outer space who can unconsciously sync up with any music. Seriously guys it's absolutely bonkers how well his movements synced up to these songs - I'm actually terrified
