Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Yuzuru has another talk show after ice show tomorrow night, I believe it is from 19:00.

I'll try to wake up around 4 am to see "Haru yo koi" and finale, then rewind the video to OP and group number, and go to work and will watch the rest when I get home. Problem is that I'm not sure if I can sleep well until 4 am :laugh:

T : Show is 3.5 hours, it is the length that I have never experienced before. I was surprised at the length of the show since the longest I had experienced was 2.5 hours. And I saw Yuzuru's popularity in Japan like that and thought it was just amazing. Though it is natural considering what he has done so far. What I think is wonderful is his kind heart. He always cares about the people around him, shows respect and he truly interacts with fans gently. Also, to do the rehearsal with him is a lot of fun. When there is no pressure, he enjoys skating innocently like a child, full of playfulness. I feel he really likes skating and his passion. Still, I can not take my eyes off him when he enters the game. He really has a strong heart. I think his concentration ability when he seriously aims at something is really amazing.

--- Do you sometimes share various visions with him while going around the show?

T : Yes. Even recently, I have asked him about his future goals. Then he told me he would continue to pursue his dreams as he has some goals he had decided as a child. I think it's a very good goal. As a competitor, he seemed to be the most motivated now to make quad axel a success. Once you get the gold medal twice, it is very difficult to find a motivation for the comeptition. That's why I thought it was great for him to have such a goal.

Thanks! Reminds me of this video. Yuzu was still very young here though and Sochi was coming. So they probably watched it with different mindset.

Hahahaha I wish we could have a side by side video of the program and this one to see their faces reaction to every element.

I think in that moment both were pretty in Patrick Chan should get gold mind set.

Which is fair enough, teammate and possibly friend heading for his life's dream and all...

Tessa has an amazing poker face but I think you can see on Scott's a bit of "uhh, Patrick, it's not gonna to be the cakewalk it was a little while ago..."
