Thank you for your time and efforts, Interspectator :points:

I've heard in this documentary and from the producer of this show that Dick has (had) a sharp-tongue in his commentary, but is it really the case in the past? I don't know much about his history on TV so I am just wondering. When I heard "This guy that guy, goes after the points like wringing a rag for water.", coffee came out of my mouth  I really liked that phrase so I'll use it, hehe

Dick Button was indeed a famous skater and a famous commentator for his strong opinions about what was good for Figure Skating.

@Interspectator thank you so much for this!!

I'm curious about the part that I read yesterday from yude already.
What exactly do they mean by "they were eager to catch him napping"? Does he mean resting, slacking off, or something like that?

Basically slacking a little/overlooking something/simply not doing his best. It's quite old slang, I believe...

I love the fact that Dick Button - one of the most caustic commentators and critics in skating history - so unstintingly praises Yuzuru (and that little bit of shade he uses towards the chasing-points men made me laugh too, it reminded me of an interview after - I think - Yuzu's Sochi short? - where he again denigrated counting of points while praising Yuzu :)

Thank you, I didn't know it was old slang, and I don't think Javi was using old slang

If I interpret simply Javier's words in Japanese, he meant like "everyone was trying to find fault with Yuzuru while he was injured." but that was not going to be literal translation either (and he might have said it differently in Spanish). There are many Japanese words and phrases don't fit perfectly into English, which I think the same for other languages translations. Personally I want this kind of documentary to be only with subtitles, but this one is so good as for the content that I am very thankful for NHK :)

Just watching this documentary again on the weekend is wonderful. Whoever put it together is amazing, I am sure Yuzu will feel super genki after watching it (if he does watch it lol).

Off topic - I live right next to that Macquarie rink in Australia they were trying to tear down but was saved. I used to skate there every week during high school for fun (not frequently anymore though, since started working). It's been granted 'heritage' status today, meaning it can't be torn down anymore without government approval, so I am really happy.

Thank you for the translating. Interesting Plushenko's autobiography's title is Another show..

I am happy to hear that the rink is safe.
Hopefully Yuzu did watch it, it will definetly bring his mood up.

Anyone know the deadline of withdrawal for 19 Worlds? Like what's the latest date Yuzu would withdraw for Worlds if his ankle still hurt?

Asking just in case.

According to twitter, today is the anniversary of the double Olympic gold under the Chinese Lunar calendar ! a year ago on the second day of Chinese new year, Semei ruled the world. And I can't believe in less than two weeks it will be another anniversary - one year passed way too fast.

Yes, I am going to celebrate rewatch all of the downloaded videos of the Chopin, Seimei, medal ceremony... everything for the anniversary. And I imagine there will be lots of online celebrations, especially from his Japanese fans...

I was getting way too worked up over the 4CC judging today so I did myself a favor and watched Haru Yo Koi again. https://youtu.be/avr-TeSBFjA :luv17: I'm healed.

Watching Yuzuru's performance after the competition he wasn't in is also my routine

Fuji TV used their "Ice Scope" in their broadcast of 4CC again and I think it means they will do it at Worlds, I am very looking forward to seeing Yuzuru's numbers :)
