I am a great fan of LGC - actually, I like this SP the best, not only as Yuzu's one, but overall. Maybe because I'm a great fan of Prince as well, knowing his videos by heart. Every time I watch Yuzu performing LGC I'm impressed how good he is in translating typical Prince's moves and gestures into figure skating (not to mention his sassy&sexy gaze ;)). It's an outstanding program, so energetic and powerful. Strongly hope to see it again, even as EX.

[Talking about Yuzu's fans who read this thread but very rarely write anything - I'm one of them. Feeling not competent to take part in majority of discussions and not wanting to just repeat constantly how amazing is Yuzuru I just enjoy myself reading posts. I'm very grateful to everyone who let me keeping up to date with the news on Yuzu :thank:]

I'm always afraid I will get carried away as well :) I love Yuzu so much, I could post here all day every day just to share a conversation with people who share my crazy obsession :luv17:

Yes, that seems to be the estimate of how much he'd be paid for a CM. But, they wouldn't know exactly. -Still, that's a LOT.
On that subject, I'm hoping for some fun/cool advertisements this year. I always like the Lotte/Skating CMs.

I know he gets paid a lot for a CM but never expected it as the same level as Nakai (SMAP) and even higher than Ichiro. OMG! :hpull:

That’s 1 million 2000 yens? Is not that much when you convert it to dollar

120 million? Wow, that was great. Although I imagine it will also vary based on the scope of ads.

Now we don't need to worry whenever he donate his winnings and royalties here and there.

Would love to understand how they estimate the value of endorsement /CM.

I would guess ANA pays more than that because he is a primary sponsor.

I think now would be the time to make my great confession that all the times I've seen him skate in person, in competition, the end result has been heartbreaking. All. Of. Them. Which of course means like any reasonable person I started thinking I am the jinx and that as long as I am far and away from the rink, he will be fine. So I was confident he will win OG 2018 since I am half a world away. :laugh2:

Please realize I am half joking half not, if you are reading this and thinking I must be crazy to think I am that powerful. But I guess it's natural to be superstitious, for athletes or fans.

I do plan on going to see him live again, just to prove my theory wrong. I will however refrain from revealing what competition I'll be going in case I stink up his performance again and gets banned from attending. ( Joking!)

I saw him for the first time in Boston, and only the free skate, so I think I will always have a touch of PTSD because you can't really forget your first time. And then with that sour feeling I decided to try it again and went to Helsinki. His placement after the SP didn't inspire a lot of confidence but the free and the overall win made that frustration worth it. And then I went to ACI and hearing that he was having some knee pain I decided to keep my expectations in check. Then he goes and breaks a world record so it was hard not to get excited. And then THAT free happened. Shades of Boston and I was really hoping that 3x would be the charm and that my 3rd time seeing Seimei at the Olys would be a success. Thankfully he was able to make that a reality. So I haven't seen Yuzu too many times, but I'll definitely take quality (witnessing his world and olympic golds) over quantity. If he's at ACI I'm going to try to go. And I plan on GPF too. I know he has nothing to prove but I still like to see him win.

Indeed the value of a 2x OGM
I wonder how much ice shows give him.
But honestly this man is just so pure I can't believe it but its so real.

I thought he was making around this much even before the PC Olys.

So I see CM, Yuzuru’s name and a huge amount of money next to it... is that how much he gets paid for a CM? Because :eeking:

I'm curious who was ranked in the first on the list, he/she gets paid 280 million

Yuzuru's fame and popularity is super in general, but he doesn't do CM as many as other athletes/celebrities and that makes his performance fee more expensive IMO. And since he has not been on TV very often, I guess he still seems to be a mysterious person to many people and it brings a lot of curiosity, it is amusing to me

Who are the other persons in this list?

Who are the other persons in this list?

Sanma Akashiya (A TV comedian and actor) & Tamori (Music Station TV program host)
Downtown = Hitoshi Matsumoto and Masatoshi Hamada (A comedy duo / TV host)
Yuzu & Nakai (Former SMAP member)
Ichiro (Professional baseball player - he already retired though)

To Japanese fellows, please correct me if I'm wrong.

You are perfect :agree:

When is the 24 hour tv charity show on usually?

It's on August 25 and 26 this year, the theme is "Person who changed me" this time. (it's still funny to me Yuzuru skated "Ienaiyo" (I can not tell you) last year while the theme of the show was "confession")
