On the other hand, can you think of many people who deserve it more (not that I'm biased, no.... okay yes)? He does use everything he's given not only for his sport, but to help and inspire others.
And he did miss out on the hearty health that most athletes depend on, which makes his achievements even more impressive.

Just a reminder, it doesn't mean media day will be on September 8 in my opinion and actually we are likely to see him earlier than that. The first news are going to be on twitter and articles in next week (if it is not on this weekend), then probably we'll have the videos in the morning shows and in all the shows and news programs after that. "Figure skate TV!" is a monthly program so I hope they will have longer footage than other shows.
So, we better keep our eyes on twitter etc, from beginning of the next week
