But that is somehow how people have read his words in forums and in japan media too, and I wonder if that contributed to the judges attitude towards him today. The skating world is small, what one says get transmitted quickly and sometimes incorrectly. I guess that is also why he seems a bit lost today at how to phrase himself in fear he says something wrong again.
I think he may also have thought with his two Olympic gold, judges will be judging him more appropriately and he can now be a bit more "himself". Unfortunately, he got a bit of reality check today that he is not going to be afforded that luxury. I guess better getting that message now rather than at the GP series. But it is a pity he may be forced to maximise BV again such as re-cutting the Otonal music (which I think is perfect as it is now) to shift the combo to the second half, or not trying the 4T-3A which he likes.
