1. Yeah, full power :sarcasm: Someone has to send this question to those Q&A sessions of his endorsements that what his definition of full power is?

2. I wanted to mention that if Shae says that the beginning of origin is like awakening of a diety, and if I think of that little Yuzu watching Plushenko's Nijinsky and wanting to be like that I get only one conclusion. This is the awakening of one and only Yuzugami

P.S. After calling him Yuzugami I noticed that it was my 888th post and sometime ago I had read that "8 is considered a lucky number in Japan because it gives an idea of growing prosperous". Is it just coincidence? Three eights? Call me crazy, but he will win his third Olympic GOLD medal in Beijing and I will be the greatest fortune teller of all time

P.S.II I'm a scientist for God sake, what crazy things I'm talking about? :eeking: And, whose fault is this?

https://twitter.com/december07_yh/status/1049137837445005313 Grand Prix Series Countdown features Yuzu today.

And the Olympic channel should very soon find a way to mention it and Yuzu.... more than once.

I think our nerves are better off for not knowing :hpull:

I like it.....

I keep meaning to do a write up of ACI but I remember the first time I saw the opening pose and movement for Origin during practice that I thought it looked like a tree sprouting from below the ground. I think this idea was later perpetuated in my mind when I saw the costume. The gold beading for Origin reminds me a lot of the gold details on the original Seimei costume. The beads made me think of twigs and leaves, the image and texture of the Origin costume for me is very Earthy. In person I didn't even notice one of the base layers appeared to be lace (I only noticed after looking at photos).

Later on I was thinking that the opening pose actually reminded me of the Terminator movies when the Terminator travels back in time and lands in the past in that crouched position.

You talking about the man who re-designed Semei three times, has two different versions of POTO, changed the colour of LGC and PW, and altered the shade of Chopin 2837467 times despite it being his most simple costume
I wouldn't be surprised if both Otonal and Origin go through various alterations again (although I think Origin is perfect as is), and I think if they need to make major adjustments the designer can just create a whole new costume rather than tinker with the old one - he has more than enough money for that.

I think the too-short top of Otonal was probably an attempt to make his legs look even longer, and end up making his torso out of proportion. Although Yuzu is the last person on earth that needs to make his legs look longer:laugh:. I recall there was an article about his body proportions and his legs are already 6cm relatively longer than men of his same height - add another 6-7cm from the skating boots and you end up with someone with legs that go on forever like an anime character.

BTW I have always wondered were the costumes from his 15-16 year old days on CWW the exact same one from the past - because when you look at those compare videos of Yuzu's CWW performance to the original one, he visually look like he has grown a lot, but if I look up his past physical data, he hasn't actually grown much at all. So maybe he does still fit in those costumes without alteration. It is almost like puberty never hit him and he is frozen in age since he was 17. I always find it funny when I look at past photos of him with say 15 year old Shoma, Nathan or Boyang - Yuzu has not changed at all, but the other boys at least have grown two heads.

Do you have the video source link that measure his leg length? Want to see it !

I agree, I adore it and hope Origin stays very much the same. But I guess in a way he does see his costumes as part of his work tools of trade, and I've heard how fussy he is about his skates as well...

Wow based from what everyone has shared Yuzu really incorporates himself from costume to skates.
Come to think of it even his Uni major, he is using it for his skating.
We are all excited for Full Power.

There was that documentary which showed him listening to a college lecture online and showing off his notes full of math formulas and physics graphs that looked really nerdy and he was saying how all of this can be applied to researching about jumps. Even when he is studying he can't stop thinking about skating - I wonder if all his college assignments are about the physics of Quads if he got the choice to decide what to write about .

Your "Tree of life" analogy is so cool :agree: but I'm not into terminator analogy at all :noshake: Sorry:)

If he does a thesis or dissertation, it will be fascinating reading....

Lol the Terminator analogy doesn’t really work, does it? After watching Shae-Lynn’s interview where she talked about Greek mythology I was actually thinking about Atlas holding up the Earth, but that doesn’t quite work either.

A season of no illness or injuries? Out of his 8 years of senior competition, there had been only two season (his first season and 2016/2017) where he didn't have some major injury, which always eventuate itself the most at Worlds. By injury, I am talking about serious injury that could be career ending if not tended to, not just blisters and boot problems - that was the case from 2012 to 2016 There is a reason why he only had two world Golds, he wasn't able to be at full power at the majority of them due to the constant serious injuries. In 2017 he was fine - and then World record happens. I think his nO. 1 priority this season is to be injury-free by the time of Worlds if he wants to be at "full power".

Yes please please please....

He does do the most endearing 'avoiding someone else's spotlight' bits (crawling behind Shoma at the Olympics); it can't be easy because no matter who is the centre of attention, once Yuzu appears....
I wish I can say I watch Joseph jumped the 4S but my eyes followed Yuzu until he disappeared from view.... even when I repeated a couple times it was Yuzu tunnel 😂

It's not just you, the cameraman as well  I mean he could've at least zoomed on Joseph if he had really wanted to record his jump.
