This season we had LV4 in Otonal at ACI, the other 3 sequences all received LV3.
Regarding step sequences the 16/17 season was his strongest by a landslide. Especially LGC was spot on with high GOE.

I think it depends a lot on the choreo itself. In Origin and Seimei there is not much room for the required 11 difficult steps and turns because of many other choreographic moves. Remember the popular cross rolls in Seimei. Yuzu had to replace one of them, otherwise it would have been LV2 even...
Plus: Yuzu was obviously focusing on the jumps and spins in Helsinki. The sequences and transitions weren't as sharp as we've seen them on media day. He skipped some steps here and there ;)

I'm really looking forward to Yuzu's refinements and development during this season :hap10:
This is what bothers me. The back crossrolls were so iconic. But they had to take it out because it would get low Lvls on StSq. I think Figure Skating should consider Step Sequences more artistically than a step by step mathematical formula score sheet.

OMG can't believe there was a live viewing of the event at rockfeller center?????
I totally missed it:sad4: It'd be so much fun to watch it with the random crowds and see their reactions.:sad46:
I pass by there everyday....

What?! Thats awesome, but they should have told fans...I would have gone to watch it there :p

Agree :agree: Those backward cross rolls were awesome! As if Seimei avoided an enemy's attack. Interpretation of the music: 10.00. Such a shame that he had to take it out... :sad21:

Some interesting stats about Yuzu's step sequences:
LGC GPF '16: 14 difficult steps/ turns in 40 seconds
H&L WC '17: 12 / 55 seconds
Otonal ACI '18: 13 / 31 seconds (with hydroblade and one-foot-Axel in between)
Origin GP '18: 10 / 48 seconds

Density has increased a lot in Otonal…

I know right? I'd have gone there to watch, instead of biting my nails in front of my laptop.
Maybe they'll stream the rest of GP events? To bad I'm leaving for vacation this week. Or else I will definitely go there during COR weekend and record the whole thing.

Hi guys. I heard from some other source that Yuzu briefly commented on Alina via Finish media. Anyone have the source link? The other source didn't post any links.

I like the Autumn Classic one better, too. I think maybe it melted the ice and they forbade him from doing it again. :o:

That's like asking which bolt of ligfhtning is more beautiful

I think the ACI one is a touch more dramatic and given how intense and emotional Origin is, would leave you even more breathless once the piece comes to perfection (it pretty well does now!) though I like that he has options for how he feels on the day.

Okay, my brain is still not working from this cold. I thought the left picture in that link was ACI, and the right was GPHelsinki. :palmf:

Agreed 100% with the bold. They're both gorgeous.

Ahhhhhh, I watched the BESP version of Origin, and he definitely said, "Spasibo, Zhenya-san." ("Thank you, Zhenya-san," in Russian, Zhenya being short for Evgeny.) :luv17:
