I must say I had an ominous feeling yesterday after the SP... the joy, the happiness and how the season was going so well reminded me of how Yuzuru said his life is a cycle of good and bad happenings... and I was suddenly scared last night. Didn’t think he’d actually get hurt
The moment he fell on the 3A, I knew I’d never trust Yuzuru’s “I’m alright” again :noshake:

With the way he was walking after practice, he probably thought that wasn’t something serious, but he wanted to be cautious and rest at the hotel before FS.
Then, he learned what was going on but decided to do his best and change layout to avoid the risky stress (though it wasn’t enough because the axel jumps didn’t pass).
I wonder if he’ll do the gala, tho. He doesn’t have to jump to participate, so...

Sadly his ankle has being loosen after getting injured in NHK, and if the rotation is not enough, it leads to the injury easily. When he fell on 4Lo this morning, he noticed soon that he did it again and started to think about other layout of the program. He is on painkiller now but he is not sure how the pain comes from now on. He doesn't think he can win GPF and Japanese nationals with the layout of today.

Unfortunately, I don't think he would be able to win those with this layout. Having 3 quads is only possibly enough against Nathan or Shoma if he skates perfectly cleanly and they don't; they all have 4 quads. Yuzuru's main advantages are in PCS and in his ridiculous GOE for 4T and 4S; it's unclear if those would be enough.
