All this "zone" talk reminds me of Kuroko no Basketball, now I have images of lightning coming out of Yuzu's eyes as he skates XD (for those who have read this manga before, you know what i am talking about). I used to think the 'zone' is used when the mangaka want to give the protagonist a power-up without having to explain it, but its interesting to know it happens in real life. It has happened for Worlds 2017 FS and Olympics SP and I recall Yuzu mentioned NHK 15 was also entering the "zone" (but not GPF 15, that one he was in full control and not skating subconsciously). I wonder what is the criteria for entering it? I guess Yuzu is also still trying to find out himself.
Hi guys. Just wanting to know if Yuzu has ever announced his new programs fairly early, like in May or June in previous seasons.
Both Chopin and PW were introduced at ice shows too. Now if you think about it it was Origin and Otonal that were introduced late because he was waiting for the rule changes before he starts choreographing. LGC and H&L were also introduced late because he didn't do any ice shows due to injury recovery that year.

Yuzuru's 3A without counter entry at the age of 15. Now he is 24 and 2 time Olympic Champion, I wonder how the judges will do if he did this in the competition

You don't know how? It's simple as the following.
Case of any other skater: "Wow, what a height!!! What a length!!! GOE +4.99"
Case of Hanyu: "Hmmm, where is the back counter entry? Where is the creative exit? It would be good if at least he could do it from a hydroblade entry. Hmmmm, GOE +2.36"

Maybe it is off topic but just roll down in the webpage of this Computer Simulation group at UCSD to see their picture of attending a conference in Japan in August![]()
