Can Yuzu please alternate between Masquerade and Crystal Memories for his gala ex this year like he does for Faoi? Honestly both programs deserve to be shown to the whole world outside of the show.

The broadcast was generous to show both programmes. Just as I do like both but masquerade takes the cake for me.
And as for the 4 lutz, I hope he gets it back in time as the season opens. Because I know he will be so kuyashi if he doesn't.

I love the group number when the men are spinning the ladies. Yuzu spins Anna more than the other men (I speak from experience that it feels so good when you have such a good partner that can turn you so effortlessly). He also looks right in the eye and turns his head to exaggerate the end of the series of spinning movements at the end of the spin. These nuances are taught in ballroom dance classes. I bet he is good on the dancefloor as well.

Yuzuru was magical. His performances were incredibly emotional and magnetic. You just can not take your eyes off him.
A slow motion of Yuzu's 4Lz: https://twitter.com/hopeIegacy/status/1133023328443293696
The delay is just to die for, and all the rotations seem to be there.

The delay is just WOW!:eeking: But also the height! I'm sure when the season starts his 4Lz is going to be right there with Kolyada's and Jin's remarkable quads :):luv17:

Also, I have this feeling that Yuzu is actually getting to the best physical shape he's ever been... he looks so great, skates with the most beautiful abandon and effortlessness, and will surely get only better with time. I think he could surpass his 2015 GP form honestly. I know it's an early call but I cannot help myself and imagine him on the top of Beijing podium...
I can only hope and pray that his ankle is okay  I'm sure he takes good care of himself though, and wouldn't risk destroying his ankle with 4Lz If it wasn't ready.

Oh wow... Here's Vadim Voronov's latest(?) competition. He can already do Yuzu's blade-above-the-head spin! (He's the Rostelecom flower boy, if you don't know/remember.)

His little brother Dobromir is more of a Shoma fan, but I can definitely see Yuzu's influence as well.

I wonder if Yuzu gave them some sneak-peaks into his FaOI programs. Look at Vadim's Masquerade-esque costume and Dobromir's Crystal Memories-esque spiral sequence!

They knew what their audience wanted, which was as much Yuzu as possible - there are quite a few of the others who skated twice each day but only one was shown, but the TV show was only two hours and once you got the Flamenco in plus both Masquerade and Crystal Memories... still the whole shows should be shpwn later, as I understand?

I love both pieces but yes, Masquerade - and the song, and Toshi's singing! - ha a bigger slice of my heart.

Just watched Masquerade and wanted to share some of my thoughts.
First of all - it is a masterpiece. The drama feels so real, Yuzuru looks so deeply invested in it, he completely loses himself into the performance, absolutely remarkable. The energy he radiates is so overwhelming, even through television.

Exactly. I knew he had the talent in performing the wide range of genre, but I still feel Masquerade is very new and different from what he had done through his career. His raw, real feels are there, and I guess those come from the lyrics he can relate to.

He poured everything into it (and from the reports, the Day 3 one even more so!). Jeff is a genius to be able to create something so new and vivid and so Yuzu (we knew the wildness was there!)

For the flack he gets from some about his skating being 'feminine', it's funny when he does dramatic masculine skating he does it better than most skaters who are so called represents 'male skating'. There is no question he is the active male skater with the widest range of styles.

For me, the reason I like POTO 02 more than Crystal Memories is that the second just doesn't seem as finished yet it needs more polish and POTO needs to be wild and raw-so it's fine as it is. -Like the first time I saw Haru Yo Koi, these are just the first performances, imagine what they will be like at the end of the tour!

To me, his 4Lz looks better than 2017 in terms of control during the rotations. I wonder if it has something to do with him gaining the muscle (his body core became stronger?) He said in the interview of FaOI rehearsal clip that he hoped the pain would be gone in the end, which means he has still some sort of pain. As I felt after reading the latest issue of Ice Jewels, I assume he decided to compete with doing rehabilitation and taking special medical treatment in coming seasons. Doing the show is very good opportunity to keep his body fit and also feel positive energy. Only my hope is he won't get another injury until the tour is over, and I believe in him :) (his hand looked swollen though.)

Yes, fans noticed that his hand is puffy and slowly changing color, like a bruise or rash. :(

I feel like a bad Hanyu fan because I really can't notice the puffy hands or bruise.
Can anybody link me to a photo of it?

Well, it looks like Hanyu brought back the 4Lz to stay competitive, despite Orser saying he doesn't think we will ever see the 4Lz from him again.

The landing on the ankle always makes me wince.
