Good thing the weather is so sunny now! I was worried the rain was going to affect the festivals outside the ice rink for the whole time.

Is this the new version of the costume? :luv17: If so I do think the velvet black side with clearer sparkles and lines is better! Sorry I have been spoiled by fancy Yuzu these years such that I thought the original version (and Yuzu himself too obviously) was missing a bit of something, now it is just right:)

The fan tweeted in this thread that the left photo must be also the leather version but just looks different because of bad quality of picture. And there is also funny poll in this thread "did you think the costume was changed?", 14% for "it was the same leather-like", 9% for "it was not leather-like", and 77% for "I don't remember" (I can't blame them :laugh2:). But I think it is very possible the costume had some adjustments as every year. Probably we'll have to wait for Sendai local news to make sure. I liked the original costume for its uniqueness and simplicity, but I always come to like whatever he wears since the model himself is great (and functionality is the most important :))
 
I need better pictures of the new one to decide (and Yuzu being indefatigably Yuzu, he will probably change it again on us :biggrin: )

You talking about a man who even made me really like that fishnet costume in the opening..Something that would not happen if I just look at the costume itself...I am quite sad I didn't get to collect the whole page daily sports newspaper spread with the fishnet top ( although I managed to get the phantom one !). I now wait for magazine covers with that costume XD
 
 
From the clips, the packed Sendai audiences are amazing even for Japan, and both he and Shizuka look so happy...

Wow you haven't used Bilibili before...it is where I find things after the Youtube purge. His Chinese fans make sure no moment of him is lost on the internet and are really fast in uploading everything. If you go to this video compilation ttps://www.bilibili.com/video/av7980935?from=search&seid=14734866506422450839, you can find lots of Yuzu's stuff starting from his first competition as a kid. The index is on the right side, you might have to use google translate to translate the title of the videos though. You could also just search his name "羽生结弦" to find lots of incredible fanmade videos.

It's kinda like NicoNico where you have the shoot comments across the screen function...for games & Japanese related stuff its the most popular video sharing site with the most content in China.
 
Also, there are wonderful skating musicvids there (okay, hard to find because of the language thing, but I have saved some fabulous, evocative Yuzu ones...)

Bilibili is the main reason why I actually paid (okay, not much) for a video downloader that would work there - the usual free ones don't seem to.
 
Also wasn't someone looking for a video where Yuzu was coaching a kid with asthma? It's from the 2017 24HTV show, the full version is in that compilation I posted above at part 248 when you scroll down the index.

Bilibili probably also contributed to Yuzu's huge popularity in China, its so easy for a person who was just curious to find Yuzu there and never get out of the rabbit hole of watching videos after videos of him :laugh:

Also on Crystal Memories in Sendai, I have to say that Y Spiral is even better than the Makuhari one!
 
As expected Crystal Memories was performed on June 1. I am happy with it of course. The crystal beading work there is solid and so sparkly blinding.
As for the 4Lutz he made a sign of just bit more. And yeah its true. Just a bit more.

I know there are already stories of his comeback 4T. But his facial expression of not letting it go is priceless. He was really kuyashii about it.

There are a lot of old couples in the audience. It was like grandpa's and grandma's are all here for their fave grandson.

He was so cute taking the time to wave at everyone. Fortunately was able to see uplclose until the wheel chair seat level. He was so happy, healthy and full of life. It looks like he is healing well.

Whoever his doctor/s is, we are all grateful to you.

yuzuru had miki and shizuka take separate bows and handed the mic to beni for a mini speech since today was their last day with the tour. he wanted c/l to greet the audience again too but apparently they left before he could catch them.

Since Toshl's past is known internationally now...

I've seen Toshl many years ago at the small local shopping mall which was in the city next to mine. He was alone, sitting, singing with a guitar, for free. Wearing no sunglasses, no make-up, short-haired. I noticed him only because the board said "Toshi", he was not whom I had used to know on TV and looked like a different person completely. There were only 5 or 6 fans in the very front row, other people were the shoppers like me. His voice was clear, but it was very obvious even for me he was in the darkest time of his life.

It seems he has found the lights again (I am not talking only about Yuzuru), people can re-start if they try and work hard and Toshl is a very good example of it IMO.
