This man is doing more for the sport than the ISU. He is really trying to improve the judging with technology even tough he himself will probably never benefit from it. He really cares deeply for the sport! I admire him so much.
I saw many tweets by general students saying "Did Hanyu kun finish his thesis? I have done nothing for it yet while I haven't competed in the Olympics and World championships!"
It was very funny to me that the word "graduation thesis completed ("卒論完成") had been trending on Japanese twitter for a long time
He really has a total skill of telling fans nothing at all and making us love it...

Now Yuzuru's interview was aired again on "every." but it was longer than 24HR TV's. Yuzuru said he felt heavy atmosphere at 4CC which came from Covid-19 and he was thinking "this is really difficult situation (in the world)" all through the competition. When WC was cancelled, he lost motivation but was also relieved since he was afraid of participating in the competition at that time. About the new season, he is kind of not sure if it will really start. He has been practicing 4A and thinks the most important thing in his skating now is (quad) axel (caption says "4A" but he only says "axel") And in a sense, he can go back to the basics learnt from the coaches in this period of time.

His devotion to the sport is admirable as always, I hope this kind of research will have real impact to make the sport better.
