Guys, I can't believe Japanese Nationals is almost there We haven't seen him skate since last February! Waseda University tweeted yesterday that Yuzuru would participate in JN with other members of their skating club and it sounded like (at least to me) he really would. But of course, he can WD anytime and I believe he will compete when I really see him on the ice of Nagano. JSF confirmed that they decided to give PCR test to the skaters and the staff involved in the event, so I think it is a progress (other sports are doing it anyway). I know he has new program(s?) but I am not surprised if he skates his old programs this time. Honestly any program is fine for me since I can only be happy if I am able to see his performances after long time (and personally I don't care the result while I know he does ). But once again, I will respect whatever decision he makes. I just want him to be healthy and happy.

Exactly. We all want to see him and his unique, beautiful skating, but his health comes first. He has given more than enough both to the sport and to Japan as a whole (just look at the current exhibition!) and he... well, he matters. I hope he realises that.

Whatever he does, his fans will be thrilled.

I'm prone to sensory overload, and it's been particularly challenging this week. I've been resting and watching Yuzuru's videos to ground me as I recover: 2014 Olympic SP (such confidence! creativity! youthful energy!), 2016 GPF SP (that'll cheer you up!), 2018 Rostelecom SP (I think my favorite SP ever...perhaps tied w/ Chopin), and 2014 GPF FS (such a triumph after such seemingly insurmountable obstacles that fall). I canNOT believe we may actually see a new performance from him this week!!! What a Christmas present that would be! I can't wait!!!!!!
