News Every from All Nippon TV (NNN) has also published a longer video on this on their YouTube channel.
It was an amazing side event than took place on the occasion of Notte Stellata show.
News Every TV made an effort to find the elderly displaced ladies Yuzu met with in 2015 and 2018 during his efforts to support the families affected by the earthquake. They were invited to Notte Stellata show last weekend, and then backstage after the show to meet Yuzuru once again!! Ain't that a lovely idea? This is soooo moving!
I guess the story was shown on the news and posted on YT for fans afterwards.
No subtitles this time, but YT subtitles/translation button works pretty well on this!

What a good indea indeed! I hope that they didn't feel too cold by the rink, or too crammed, and that they could shout all their heart content with the rest of the crowd!
News Every had made the broadcast live on Youtube, but I hadn't seen the video after the broadcast. They're really very kind, particularly to international fans (Ifanyus)!

YES!! Seeing them seated as the guests of honor in the first row by the rink, covered with their handmade banner, was so heartwarming indeed! And Yuzu visibly recognizing them and greeting them with a little giggle while skating next to them, so close, during his circling around the rink! Lovely!
 
Also, I wanted to say today that Yuzuru Hanyu's reference to Picasso in his interview with Shigesato Itoi, resonated particularly with me, because Picasso's best known painting, in spite of its name, was an expression of Picasso's childhood memories (he was only three) of the 1884 earthquake in Málaga, as he told Robert Rosenblum and others; so, when I read this reference, I wondered if Yuzuru Hanyu had not felt in Guernica, an expression of this earthquake terror he knows so well.

Oh, wow! I didn't realize there was such a connection! Incredible! Thank you for pointing this out and letting us know!
 
Well, now it's 3.12 in Japan. These were very hard days too, for Tohoku people affected by the earthquake, among them the Hanyu family.
Yet from today there will be SEKAI NO OWARI giving a series of concerts in the same venue as Notte Stellata, the Sekkisui Heim Super Arena in Rifu near Sendai. Yuzuru Hanyu has skated on one of their songs, Sasanqua, from Ice Rink Sendai, and posted it on his Youtube channel, where it is approaching 2 million views:
