Yuzuru Hanyu

There's a new proof that Yuzuru Hanyu isn't ageing: his hair. There's a compilation of Yuzuru Hanyu's hair before/after programs in his youth, I suppose that for the next years he's managed to pour enough gel to keep his hair still during programs, but for RE_PRAY in Saga he was back to the wild hair of his teenage years (and I love it):

Yuzuru posted on his official Instagram on the occasion of 29th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of January 1995.
Translation by DeepL:
"17 January.
For me, it was about a month after I was born.
I can only pray, as I have no memory of it and have not been affected. But this, too, can be presumptuous of me.
The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The Great East Japan Earthquake. And the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
I hope that wounds and scars will not be erased from our memories and records. But may they be purified.
And may we be there for those who still suffer, for those who continue to suffer, and for those who have to suffer, even if only a little. We will continue to pray for you.
At the Saga performance of RE_PRAY
A Requiem for Heaven and Earth.

It is not surprising that the Japanese people admire him so much.

"Art Exhibition Navi is planning a lecture titled "The Evolution of Yuzuru Hanyu Captured by the Shutter" by Nao Noto, a photographer who has been photographing Hanyu since his junior days. It will be streamed live online on February 23rd (Friday/Holiday)."

A lecture here, a conference there, an analysis, a paper.... seems like Yuzuru is not just praised more and more but also more and more studied, and from different professional perspectives and angles, as a sport's phenomenon, a legend, a GOAT should be...:)
