Yuzuru Hanyu

GIFT is not only Yuzuru Hanyu's biggest ice show, it's also a book co-authored by him for the story, and by CLAMP (mangaka authors of Sakura Card Captor and XXXholic among others) for the pictures.
On the occasion of the release of the book, last December, they have made a wonderful, dream-like video introducing this story (available only until today/tomorrow 14th!), with the voice of actress and singer Megumi Ogata (also a voice actress in Sakura Card Captor). Megumi Ogata tells us that even after the end of this video, there will always remain a bit of Chiisai-san and Okii-san in her heart:

This is great news indeed and solves the little discussion we had here a few days ago regarding the puzzle of him parading the Gucci winter jacket with huge logo during Notte Stellata rehearsals.
Congratulations to Yuzu and hoping for some more iconic photoshoots, too !

I literally squealed when I just found out! (Have been out all day) So exciting and so deserved, he has shown this year how he sets off clothes like the best models, and the ELLE photoshoot was iconic.

But would everyone who poked fun at his costumes for years ever have guessed which skater would a top couture house choose???:biggrin::clap::dance3::hap10::)

I know that he is first and foremost the GOAT of figure skating but he is also an amazingly beautiful and charismatic man, so once I finished squealing... I'm not surprised. Gucci is one of the absolute top luxury brands in the world.

This I don't know. Yuzuru Hanyu doesn't have an ordinary agency, it's his own team headed by a lawyer, and what he wants more than anything is skating and having his own way on these matters, so I would say that he was focused, less on the amont on the check or the title, than on not having to haunt each and every Fashion Week, and being still able to wear his old Under Armour tops and Marina Ice training pants (but maybe, we won't see him anymore in his old Venex jogging pants?)
Yet some Italian fans are already dreaming, and welcoming him to next Milan Fashion Week or anything in Italy:

Yuzuru Hanyu has answered Megumi Ogata, and the video is still there! Yet it's the 15th in Japan. Was there an extension?

Many news sites have reacted to the announcement; I would give a special mention to GQ, because, if we are to judge how many years ELLE has patiently, regularly forwarded Yuzuru Hanyu-related news before their June 2023 photo shoot, GQ should be only at two years of endeavours before getting their own photo shoot with Yuzuru Hanyu; hold on GQ!
