Oh, and one of the young pianists named in the "30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30, 2026 edition" mentioned Yuzuru as his biggest inspiration, "he showed me the importance of expression that I carried into my piano playing."

In the 2018 earthquake in Hokkaido, many haskap bushes have been buried by a landslide, Yuzuru Hanyu have visited some affected producers with News Every several times, and they have set up the pop-up, travelling Haskap Café, which is until July 28th at Morimoto's, a Chitose City sweet shop; they have of course their usual products with some novelties, and freshly harvested haskap, they say that the berries harvested this year are the best tasting they've ever had:
