So here's the peak moment of Notte Stellata 2025 as shown on TV on Sunday, the majestic Mansai's Bolero, this masterpiece of traditional Japanese Noh and Kyogen theatre created originally by Mansai Nomura in 2012 as a requiem to the Great East Japan Earthquake victims, a majestic treaty on the repetitive cycle of seasons, human life, death and rebirth, and then life again, and the emotional cycle of happiness and loss, grief and acceptance. Ravel Bolero's monotony and repetitiveness, seen by some as boring and unattractive, here is put to the best use ever as a musical illustration to this ever lasting repetition of cycles in nature and in human life. Again, so much in harmony with traditional Japanese culture, values and philosophy.
For Notte Stellata it was brought to ice combining the symbolic expressive tools of the traditional Japanese theatre with exquisite skating choreographed by Shae Lynn Bourne, once again taking the challenge of translating Mansai Nomura art to ice, as she had done with Seimei years ago. Apart from Shea Lynn herself, Nomura-san is accompanied by Akiko Suzuki, Satoko Miyahara, Keiji Tanaka, Takahito Mura, and, of course, Yuzuru Hanyu.
Enjoy while it lasts on YouTube as it rarely lasts long.
So, not to limit ourselves to words alone, here's a great teaser - the first scene is awesome!!!!! Oh, Yuzuru![]()

Well, yes!! Re_Pray is having a great comeback these days!!! I think it is a splendid marketing decision to have it all piled up together: The DVD/BR announced just days before the TV broadcast tomorrow and then the cinema screenings across Japan on November 11, close to home but with all the joy of the big screen, which have always been so popular for Yuzuru shows!!! And just reminding the viewers how awesome this show is and why they really want to have it preserved on their DVD shelf forever
Yuzu has such a great team, both artistic and marketing wise!!!![]()

)I'm not sure they have a joint teamDo you think that it was a common marketing decision? Isn't it more a common reasoning, a visibility window and the availability of this fantastic show? (No, I'm not going to call you a conspiracy theorist.)
but I think they exchange information and synchronize a bit. After all they have a joint product which they distribute on different channels and such synchronicities benefit them all. It just does not look like a mere coincidence to me.
Of course it would benefit to all but I have sometimes found release/announcement timings eclipsing others too.I'm not sure they have a joint teambut I think they exchange information and synchronize a bit. After all Yuzu said something like he had made preparations and "looked into it" that we can see him and have fun while he's away on his break, didn't he?
Magazines? This he has no control of and they are too many for anyone to control anyway, lol. DVD release is a different beast, I think.Of course it would benefit to all but I have sometimes found release/announcement timings eclipsing others too.
