Thanks for doing the math! I was curious how it would have ended up if it was a normal competition, but I didn't want to take the time to add it up.

I find it interesting that Ilia wouldn't have actually dropped that far, but WTT's scoring is so different from a regular competition, it's hard in that you're starting from scratch in the free, which if that's your goal, it can change your mentality entering the free.

Nathan's first time at world team trophy, he only got second and fourth in his two segments, which if you average out, is equal to what Ilia got. Of course, once Nathan started his winning streak, he made sure he won both segments at the next two trophies.

Ilia is definitely participating much more whole heartedly in cheering than Nathan ever did.

Comparos can be interesting...and no one here could have predicted this outcome. (Ted kept getting confused about individual medal rank, bless his heart) Congrats to Cha...I saw him live at Four Conts and would have loved to see his free skate clean there...But Kao, Keegan and Shun beat him....but at Worlds and here he shined! And good for Jason...If this sport were as popular as football is in the US, we would hear endless analysis on the Telly from talking heads about this chart....but there is more numbers analysis on ESPN about a 9 year old girl screaming and having a 50 percent success rate at making Canadians miss free throws than anything at all about this event. No matter. WE love figure skating and WE love figure skaters....and this event was more exciting than a whole season of people pushing balls through baskets for 100 million dollars.... I ❤️ Japan.
