Wow!!

That really was a huge score from Irina!! I hope someone was either there or saw it on TV or something so we can hear more details. I've always like Irina not only for her skating, but for her wonderful attitude and personality. I'm happy for her. I hope she has the stamina to put out another good program in the free.

GO ANGELA!!!! She must have had a good skate too! I can't believe they aren't giving us any TV coverage of these short programs. BOO HOO WHINE WHINE!!!

With a decent placement in the Free Skate, Angela would probably secure a spot in the GPF.

Irina mopped up the ice with the other girls. What an inspiration. It will be pretty hard for anyone to overtake her in the free skate.

For comparison, Slutskaya's 62.96 is the second best score in the short program so far this year. Arakawa got 64.20 at NHK, Phaneuf came in at 57.76 at Skate Canada, and Ando won the short at Skate America with 53.64.
