Panels seems to be pretty neutral, but I do see there names I wish not seeing. Leanna Caron (why is she even judging beeing FED president?), Miss Abasova involved in Golden Spin scandal...

Leanna Caron should not be judging, and if there is anything that a newspaper (French, American, Russian) find to discredit her, they won't hesitate to do so and putting the argument "Skate Canada president". It's a disservice to the 3 CAN teams. Also an aberration.

I do, and I’m not Korean.

The South Korean judges have been judging very fairly throughout the grand prix series; I doubt that will change here. There is also no anonymity anymore, which will make the protocol analyses very very interesting, certainly for ice dance and maybe for ladies if we get another upset.

I agree. South Korea is one of the only nations that treat the judging system properly.
They never over mark, even at the nationals level.

Especially since 2014, I feel like South Korea has taken the high road and try to judge with more integrity than other nations.

Drat. I was kinda hoping for the Skate Canada panel...for the men.

Also, where is Shin Amano? THE WORLD NEEDS MORE SHIN AMANO.

Pairs:

Same technical panel as it was at GPF. Aljona will not be amused because they did not gave her Bruno level 4 at the twist.

Elke Treitz vs Elina Fomina vs. Huang Feng.

All three are willing to push their own pair and drop the others. It is going to be close between the first two. So the panel is not that unimportant.

There are way more than 13 judges listed. Can someone explain; I'm confused. Thanks!

They can designate up to 13 * 4 disciplines = 52 judges. Ice dance judges need quite different training from singles & pairs. Some judges can work for singles competitions, but not for ice dance competitions.

The number of judges assigned to each country is determined by the Olympics tickets, with the 2017 World results taking precedence over the Nebelhorn results.

Not every country used the full capacity. For example, Kazakhstan submitted only 1 instead of 2 judges. Since they have tickets for the 2 disciplines, they could have sent 2 judges. The sole Kazakhstan judge will participate in both Men's and Ladies' singles.

Conflict of interest, I think. He's a coach at Cricket Club, where many Olympics competitors train.

I thought Allison Ryan was the Australian Judge from Newfoundland. Are there several?

Did the Russian judges dope? Is there any evidence that they were at all involved in any form of doping scheme? (I mean real evidence, not wishful speculation.)

The Russian judges, like all judges, would be volunteers who, while under the umbrella of the RuFed, are not employees of them. I imagine they would not be subject to any sort of ban - it would be dreadfully unfair if they were.

They are beholden to the Russian Fed for future assignments. Whether or not they personally doped is not the issue. They
are part of management. Or maybe they could be allowed to judge as Olympic Judges From Russia...

The Tech Panel for Men judged at Cup of China this year both Ladies and Men (except for the referee)

The Tech Panel for Ladies is the one used at Skate America for Men and Ladies (except for the referee)

The Pairs panel operated at Grand Prix Final

The Ice Dance panel is the one used for Nebelhorn
Oh No  at the Ladies’ panel. IMO the technical specialist and her assistant did a terrible job (worst of the GP) for the Ladies’ event at Skate America overlooking several URs and edge calls. I hope there won‘t be controversy after the Olympics about tech calls that should have been made but weren‘t.
