- Going to 2nd place. BUT HOW??? It was awful...

Artem B. has good position in Russian federation's eyes. He is fighter, he won silver medal at Junior Worlds last year (when he broke his leg in November 2007, he started to skate in early January 2008, he started to jump only one months before Junior Worlds). He finished fourth in Cup of China (there were no big names except European Champion Verner).

It was obvious right before Russian Nats that Pisejev wants him to skate at Euros. Sure Artem B. was nervous but unfortunately I think that his triple axel is not stable jump for him yet - he will have big problems to land triple axels at Euros (and technical specialist will wait and check whether it was fully rotated).

What a not-so-good competition.

Voronov needs a presentation-wizard, pronto please. Sometimes, during the steps he seems a bit alive, but most of the time he looks awfully concentrated, extremely tense, his posture is not pure. His jump preperation reminds me of KVDP, but at least KVDP manages to look like he is having fun out there.

Borudulin was not too bad, it's a shame about that shaky Axel. His presentation is already much better than Voronov's, his line and posture pure.

Lutai seemed faster than normal and the program suits him. He also has a much better presentation than Voronov despite the fact that he looks a tiny bit scared out there.

I guess they will see how Borudulin and Lutai do at Euros and send the better one to Worlds - at least Lutai has proved that he can actually land a Triple Axel quite a few times, he also rotates a Quad.

They are just showing one of my very favourite Zhenya performances.

I remember about Borodulin's leg; it is amazing how quickly he has come back; I look for good things from him in the future.

Tatiana Novik / Konstantin Medovikov aren't bad at all. Of course they are still very young and need loads of refinement. Were they single skaters before? He fell on the sbs Loops, but it looked fully rotated. And the 3S - 2A SEQ looked really good.

Yep, that's mine. I'm uploading some of the other men's right now, and will upload some pairs also when I get them. Username is kismac67.

(Have patience, am uploading for fs vid site also, so it takes longer with different simultaneous uploads)

I have infinite patience and gratitude for what you are doing, Kasey :) .

I have been searching around, and something confuses me. Ivan Bariyev (Bariev) was fourth in the Junior GPF in Korea:

That's not bad, and he is 17 years of age. He was in the Russian Nats earlier this year,

http://www.goldskate.ru/RussianNationals/fs-z-z-men-fp-z-z-z-z-z-final-rus.pdf

and came in 7th. I am wondering why he did not try again now. I watched his videos a while ago, and he looked like a "natural" to me , who only needs to get all his jumps, so I am interested in following his progress.
