Please, please send me the link as soon as it’s up! I absolutely adore your posts and I can see how you already have those sections by how well your data organized and presented.

All Quads, Great and Small or Quad Titans is all I can think of the top of my head 😅
I will! The name of the whole blog will be in Latin (a somewhat weird must for personal reasons), but those could be excellent names for individual posts on quads :)

Oh, boy! I can’t even figure out how to correctly name fantasy Legions in Latin… 🤣 anyway, awaiting your site with great anticipation.

Yes to Vladimir Samoilov, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6Dft3ycdlA
No idea about Michael but it's definitely possible.
I know multiple people who have done them before in training (once or twice, but never consistent) who just never bothered attempting in competition for a variety of reasons.
And this in under ISU, where you get credit for attempts rather than just clean jumps.
in 6.0, there was little incentive to attempt inconsistent jumps as the penalties of anything but absolute success were quite high.

Holy crap these jumps are SO good! I just looked up that he is representing Poland and was banned from training in Russia. Hopefully he can regain his tech ability.

Also interesting how he does his quad lutz off a curve, which is rare for a lutz in general.

Wikipedia says he has videos of a quad lutz Eu quad salchow?! Anyone have a link to THAT?! Or was it taken down because for fearing of revealing he's an alien from another planet, lol?

He has now competed twice for Poland and it has really not been very great with regard to jumps - the only quad is a downgraded 4S twice :frown: (Add: The other one was actually a good one, sorry for the mistake and thanks for the correction, just my sloppiness.)

His track record before this fall is ok - he has 75 quads in competition (as far as I could find) and most of them (69) in Russian domestic competitions. Mostly 4S (54), then some 4Lz (19) and a few 4F (2), positive GOEs for all of them, though for the 4Lz these are from the 2019-20 season and for the 4F from 2017-8.

The difference what he can do in practice and competition really emphasizes the difficulty of jumping in programs!

In golden spin 2021 sp he landed a clean 4S in the sp I believe. Then he messed up the 3A.

Indeed, this seems to be a constant source of frustration for Samoilov. In a recent interview he said
I'm not denying that I have a problem with my head. Everyone emphasizes that "you can do everything, but you're a fool." I know I'm a fool, so help me with that. Everyone discounts the fact that everything is given to me, only I do not show anything. Thank you.

It really is a pity when some guys have so much talent, but just aren't natural competitors.
On top of that, he is dealing with injury. I actually felt quite bad after we had a bit of a laugh about his FS at Golden Spin (it is a bizarre program) and his coach then said that he had just started practising trixels again two weeks before the competition and therefore naturally struggled with consistency.

That’s really sad. I hope he can come back and overcome his mental issues because there is clearly talent.
