2014 Skate Canada Mens FS 11/01

Okay Mura for the Gold.

I don't want to think about Javi's performance right now.

Because 1, Carrierre should not have beaten Max in the SP to begin with, and 2, Max was just so superior to Carrierre today. Not a tenth superior, several points' worth.

Oh sorry, I forgot! Max's artistry is all WRONG, isn't it? You're not ALLOWED to skate with energy, you HAVE to skate with quiet grace. :sarcasm:

Okay, in spite of the fact that this sounds like rabid fandom, I'll bite. How was Aaron totally superior today?

And as for your second paragraph, you get that nobody's saying that except for you, right? I don't think skaters have to conform to just one style. But for those who are not particularly graceful etc. it helps tremendously to have big charisma, which, to me, Aaron does not have, at least not now. It's what made Elvis Stojko fun to watch, in spite of the fact that he was no great artist.

....did Javi just hand Max the silver? Maybe even Carrierre the bronze?

I am not doing well in the predictions game this season. also, judging eurosport for saying this is a great routine.

If Javier bets Mura with this program, I will cry....not even kidding. Mura deserves to win hands down.....

So, Orser is relying on this great opera music and lyrics to carry Javi re his lack of presentation skills. Still too many bells and whistles for my taste.

choreography felt rushed, too busy, frenetic.
didn't feel it. Javi didn't feel it either.

Nice program for Javier, but I think he was tired from yesterday. A bit slow, off timing a bit. Lots of nice little details, and actually more variance with the music mood can polish the program well. Orser doesn;'t look happy.

I can almost imagine Wilson acting it out infront of him.

Hands down (person who don't like Jason Brown), Mr. Jason Brown is a better overall skater stylistically, musically and artistically than anyone at this comp outside of Adam Rippon. But Jason is more consistent than Adam on jumps. If Jason ever masters a quad, look out haters.
